General Info

This is an alphas-only kit.

This kit (16 keys total) features English primary legends and Greek sublegends, and will be produced in doubleshot form using Cherry profile GMK tooling. Sublegends will be the same color as the primary legends.
- Alphas - L9 light beige base, CR black legends, including Greek sublegends (doubleshot).
- Compatible with: OG Cherry doubleshot sets, GMK Classic Retro, GMK KA 1953, GMK 9009, ...

Timeline and Updates
- MOQ is 150 units. Lead time is 16-20 weeks after order submission.
- 2020/08/18: Estimated to ship from GMK mid-September.
- 2020/04/21: We finally got the invoice. No specific delivery timeline has been given to us yet.
- 2020/03/06: Please be patient as we work out the details. We are still in queue though, so we do not think there will be much of a delay.
- 2020/02/22: Still pending on a reply from GMK... Apologies to those who are waiting.
- 2020/01/15: Pending response from GMK. ETA likely delayed.
- 2019/12/02: Orders counted from all proxies. 303 units sold. Confirming with GMK.
- 2019/11/16: GB closed. Processing orders and getting ready to submit to GMK.
- 2019/10/18: MOQ of 150 units hit. 159 units sold including extras to be sold by vendors.
- 2019/10/15: GB open

Payments for GBs are typically charged immediately, as the vendors or runners need those payments to make the orders for the run itself. If something doesn't meet the minimum order quantity (MOQ) the vendor or runner would refund the buyers at that point.

GB period is now closed. We will be processing the final sale numbers soon, arranging logistics with GMK, and submitting the order. Thank you everyone for participating and for your support!

Lead time is 16-20 weeks once the order has been submitted. GMK has said in our correspondence that they are planning to expand production early next year, so chances are this may arrive to your doorsteps faster than expected.

Some busy projects for vendors, Thanksgiving, and a few big events at GMK got in the way of things, but here we are back with a small update:

Total number of kits was 303, and all vendors picked up some extras for those who missed out.

We will be finalizing the kit and submitting the order, so GMK can invoice vendors and payments can be made.

The lead time is approximately 16-20 weeks as stated, but I will confirm more on the shipping date later down the line. Extras will be likely announced by vendors themselves, so stay tuned.

I want to inform everyone with a quick "update" and apologize that it's actually not a substantial update and certainly not the best of news:

All orders have been counted, but with the holiday season and a massive log of emails backed up at GMK, we are still pending on a response to finalize the details of our order.
Regarding these details, I am consulting a few designers and, most importantly, working to ensure that the Greek legends will be created accurately with respect to typeface.

Apologies for the delay. I will continue to post here with more updates as they come.

Quick update: We are finally in contact with GMK again. We are submitting a few small revisions to some of the Greek characters to ensure they are consistent with what is considered 'normal' in the typography of these. I believe a few people had mentioned this over the course of the IC. The ones that we will mainly attempt to tweak are Ψ (psi), ∑ (sigma), and Λ (lambda).

Hey all! Wanted to give a quick update here.

Short story - we have been patiently waiting for GMK's reply on this.

Semi long story:

We placed the order with GMK for this around 5 months ago. We only received a reply about 1 1/2 months ago. We are still waiting on files an renders to make sure that this kit is solid. I am very sorry for the delay, but we are still working on this the best that we can.

Please be patient as we work out the details. We are still in queue though, so I dont think there will be much of a delay.

I don't know what Darling has to do with this, but if you read up some more, some of the delay was due to perfecting the legends on the new molds. So it's not an apples to apples comparison from other GMK sets.

This is correct. There was some delay in correspondence and some back-and-forth to ensure that the legends are accurate to what was rendered.

We have not received a new solid estimate from GMK as things have gotten delayed further since the last update. Novelkeys and I estimate that we will receive the kits in August. Extras will be available after the GB ships out, and will be announced through the Novelkeys newsletter. For other vendors, please consult with their newsletter.

edit 8/1/2020: requested a new update. Hoping to hear back soon.
