Simple top mount handwired 40%
« on: Tue, 26 March 2024, 08:18:31 »
Hello i wanted to share this simple 40% which was my first handwired project. I used Pro Micro controller which was pretty easy to flash with kbfirmware.

The chip is not secured in any way and you need to mark it where it needs to be when you start soldering. The design has small left-right tolerance. After assembling i had no issues with plugging in.

The reason why i did it this way is because i wanted to make it top mount. I made the plate 2mm which is pretty soft.

I attached everything here so you can modify.

I needed:
10 threaded inserts M2.5
3 M2.5 x 16
3 M2.5 x 8
4 M2.5 x 4

Most probably people already did this but there you go  :)

Always cool to see a handwired build. What gauge wiring did you use? It looks rather thick.
Always looking for Alps SKCM/SKCL switches. Feel free to DM.

I think the brown one is 1.5mm and the grey one a bit thinner. A bit unnecessary but they were laying around.
