I think you should choose blank because it is full blank. About black on black, there is 3 key blank. I think it is not uniform :)

Current count is 115 sets. As long as MOQ is reached somehow they can be made. If you're willing to pay more per set, might as well just buy more sets as that is what you would be doing anyway.

Okay thanks for the clarification. Was wondering because I may buy both, keep which I like more and sell the other off lower than GB price.

Yes, factory will be matching from Topre black on black keycap so it should be extremely similar.

Looking at these picture I can't believe we don't have more orders.

As far as I know there was no major GB for this before. People should be all over it, but I guess many are just broke around christmas ;)

Yeah. Not only has black Cherry profile thick PBT basically not existed, even it's very hard to find low quality OEM thin PBT keycap in black right now which would probably even be a similar price. I expected more as well since I think it has been on lot of people wish list for some time. Perhaps orders will pick up towards the end since that happens lot of time. I never get why people waiting until last minute it's not like you have to pay now.

Quick question, would the Black Lettering Caps look good on a Shine 3 that has a black case?
The grey of the Topre caps makes me wonder.

It's rather subjective I suppose. I don't think it would look bad on any black keyboard casebody, having both shades of black being the exact same is probably unlikely though. But then that is usually even the case with stock keycap anyway on all black keyboard.

My thoughts exactly - I'm sure that somewhere in one of Ivan's threads I read that the mould for ISO would cost them thousands of $ - probably not worth it...

Well we didn't have to buy moulds for ANSI because factory already has it, hence my question why no love for ISO or in other terms (obviously more understandable for some reason, which is unknown to me) - why do they not have a mould for ISO as well.

Either way it's more a rhetorical question and I can't believe I have to explain this.

@ Ivan

The MOQ of 400 is for both sets combined and not for each set right?

If so, I could probably squeeze in a blank set to my existing order, but right now this wouldn't change much I guess...

That's right it's 400 sets total. In reality we are ordering 400 blank sets from the keycap factory, then X sets go to the dyesub process.

I don't know why they don't have ISO. I suppose they don't since Asia doesn't use ISO generally but ANSI and they are a Chinese factory?

I was considering... since the MOQ number is the same... how would it feel about getting a little 'extras' from GMK in ABS blank black for ISO enter, 1.5 mod, 1.75 shift, 7x spacebar, and windowed lock keys? Assuming the price is cheap would people mind it get added into the sets? I know some people don't like idea of mixing keycap material but having keys to accommodate layout is better than nothing?

I'd love that idea, but as an ISO user I am biased of course :D

For me matching colors are way more important than matching materials. An ISO add on set is only interesting if it's the exact same shade of black in my opinion.

exact same shade of black

I imagine that'd be very hard to achieve - two different companies using two different materials would more than likely lead to slightly different shades of black...

I'm not that fussed by the ISO keys but maybe 1.5 mods etc might be cool - if it doesn't add to the price too much (say $5-10) then I'd be in :thumb:

I might put in for a second set of these caps except in blank to help us meet the MOQ. How should I go about this? Just place another order like I did for the first set or is there a way to edit my existing order?

Isn't ANSI exactly the same as ISO only different enter and 105 keys vs 104? I'd be interested if I could get a full blank black set of caps for my Cherry G80-3000, even if that means enter would be ABS...I don't think the difference in colour would be that great, would it?

Thanks for the info. Since I did not save the old URL I just submitted a new order for a set of blanks and a set of dye sub. I figure I can try them both and keep which ever I like better.

I really, really hope we can meet MOQ, I'm dying for a set of these!

The left shift is a different size and the legends are different on a good number of keycaps.  There's an extra 1x keycap on the asdfg row and zxcv row too.
