Title: Majestouch-2 to be available on Amazon...

There's no mention of price or any other information, just states 'Majestouch-2' (scroll down to the last few keyboards)

I didn't see any post of this in the Keyboard Co subforum so I figured here would be the place to put it.

For those of you that want the Majestouch 2 over the Majestouch, here's your chance! There's no telling when they'll be in stock though :sad:

I don't think there is actually any noticeable improvement between the two, but if they're the same price then it'd be nice to have the newer tech PCB

This would help Panda-R establish the resale price.

Depends on the seller on Amazon.com, they sometimes ship to Canada for a fair price but sometimes they don't even ship to Canada at all. When they don't I just ship it close to the border and pick it up. Costs me around $10 bux in gas to go get it and some time but it's a big savings when I pick up a bunch of packages at the same time.

I think Amazon does this before they come in stock, they'll add the item to the system first.

I'll probably try again for the blue this time, won't be using OnTrac fo' sho.

If it's a third party seller there is a chance they will ship to Canada, but if the item is sold through or fulfilled by Amazon they won't send it to Canada, because there are some categories of items they won't send. I think it's Electronics, Software, and a few more.

Went with browns my first mech because I thought it was the lightest, but I discovered there was a lighter MX switch :P

That's actually what I have right now. But my Das is going back. At first I really liked the sound - it sounds amazing when you're typing really fast. But when I'm pressing a single key or playing SCII it drives me NUTS! And forget about being remotely quiet even when pressing a single key. It's just like a little bloop.

It's driving me insane!!

Having tried many different Cherry boards and being a competitive fps gamer. The Reds kick complete ass.

I was trying to watch you tube videos to determine how the Brown would be different from the Blue. It simply cannot be done. You literally have feel and type on both to feel, hear and tell and the difference.
I think I will be sending my DAS back and stick with the Filco brown for my office. I like the DAS blue, but I just think the brown is more suited in that area.

you can silent the brown by typing lightly and slowly. There is no way you can silent the blue.

The blues are unmatched in my opinion on the typing front. They're just loud as fffffffffffffffffffuuuuu..............

I just got mine as stated above as Far as I know, Filco are true NKRO when used with the ps/2 adapter.

As far as the logo goes, it's not that yellow. It's of a gun metalish color. Not bright silver, just this nice dull grey gun metal. definitely NOT yellow/gold.

The picture on the box is not what is inside the box. Pretty sure Diatec uses a generic pic on multiple boxes.

about taobao, i only found filco 2 with brown or even black, but cant found blue :(

Edit: Well I just bought a Brown and Blue Tenkeyless for no real reason. I think I might go back to the blues - the brown is really not much quieter unless you really try not to bottom out.

But then I ordered it up on Amazon for $164 with no qualms. The looming threat of sellouts and Amazon's great return policy motivated me futher. Funny how when it's less, you feel better about it. It's like, ehh, I could always resell at that price.

Funnier still, I then called up Keyboard Company around 7am today to cancel (which they did with no problems, I ordered when they were closed), had to google how to dial the UK even. They where like oh the Filco 2 Cherry Brown TenKeyLess will be availible sometime in the not too distant future. Then bam!! It's on Amazon the same morning! That was fast lol. I was like, did I do that?!

Does anyone think they will make those "Ninja" keycaps separatly availible? You know, the black keycaps with blank tops and the key characters on the side?

7am pacific showed 9 in stock. I bought mine at 7:45am with 8 left in stock. At about 11:30am they sold out.

Enter key squeaks a little on the blue, though I suspect it will get better with time, or else I will have to fix it.

The picture on the Majestouch-2 box itself scared me, the enter key was the tall kind! I opened up the box and was relieved to find out the picture is wrong.

I was wondering that myself. I honestly don't think it costs them anymore to make than any other MX Cherry Switch. I think they're more expensive for the sole reason of being "Limited Editions"

But, for one who would plays games...isn't that a good thing? You don't think it's worth $40 more? I'm looking into purchasing my first mech. keyboard for games and I've been looking at the reds. I'm trying to get opinions comparing the two.

Haha yeah I am already retracting my previous statement. Probably not fair to judge them just yet. It really does take a while for your fingers to get used to the different feel and force required to actuate the key. Even though browns and reds are said to require the same force.

So far they're just ok for typing, but I really like them for gaming, I just played a game of SCII and as far as gaming goes I think I like the reds over the browns and blues. But again, still too early to be definitive.

I thought majestouch 2 came with additional wasd keys and a red esc key as well as a keycap puller. I was mistaken :P All you get is the usb/ps2 converter. Oh well, these are more awesome than I remembered them from years ago. :D Switching back and forth from noppoo browns and this majes 2 blues now.

I believe the MJ2 with Reds is considered a "limited edition" and comes with the WASD/Esc keys and key puller as bonus items, which is part of why it commands a higher price than the others currently.

I just really use my mouse too often to have it set off to the right side that far to be comfortable, but I type enough that I need my hands in a more natural position so I can't move it further to the side either. Blargh!

As such, I think I'm going to grab one of these Majestouch-2 tenkeyless boards while they are still available on Amazon. I think I'm going to go with the same switch type (browns). The only thing I don't care for is that there are no non-printed key layouts available. Hopefully they also make the "Ninja" board available through Amazon when that releases (supposedly this month sometime) so I can scratch that itch. Normally I'd just wait, but I have nothing else here but rubber dome boards and this stupid thing has ruined me on those!

Cherry corps double shots of course from ebay (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?17819-New-Double-Shot-key-caps). Sadly the cheapest now go for more that $50 and you won't be able to replace the caps lock or the space bar rows. But still a great improvement over the filco ones IMO.

Yeah, I'd really prefer this now that I already have a MJ2 tenkeyless on the way!

Edit - On a side note, I was completely unaware that Amazon had such a large stock of ninja equipment and accessories. Foot/hand climbing spikes, grappling ropes, throwing knives and shurikens, Tabi boots, utility belts... I guess it's 2011 and even ninjas need the convenience of online shopping.

It's the browns VS reds of the Mac world, ya know?

And since I'll be typing on my Filco in closed lid mode on my 23" ips LCD, a 17" will just get in the way.

Not enough for you to notice. The 1 has a single layer PCB and they revised the controller board for 2, but it's not got any glaring differences. Firmware seems to be the same.

I don't have a link to the picture, but I'm pretty sure dual layer means that the trace goes through the hole and grabs the other side of the pcb along with the bottom side. Seems like it would actually make changing switches easier since there's less chance of the trace coming off if too much heat is applied.

I have no idea. I think a lot of people went crazy buying reds just because they were rare and then realized that they really weren't looking for a light linear switch in the first place. I think they're amazing and people who sell them are nuts.

My Cloud of Boobs just got here and it labeled as Majestouch Linear R Limited Edition.

Impressions thus far: It *IS* like typing on a cloud of boobs! It's also very strange having no tactile bump. I thought I really couldn't feel the bump on browns, but it seems I do. The super smooth feel will take some getting used to.

I'll just get the ninja tenkeyless browns later on. I'm really digging those ninjas. Ninja makes every thing better. What are you, a bus driver? No... I'm a ninja bus driver! LoL. I forget where I saw that. Maybe on ask a ninja podcast.

Edit: amazon return set up, anyone wants it for my exact cost before I ship it back after the weekend, just hollar.
