Hello it's me jebbra again

Quite some people are asking about the continuity of Mondrian keyset and at the same time I wanna expand Mondrian so it can be used on another layout.

Brief Introduction
I created this keyset to overcome the infinite layout of custom keyboard—especially ortholinears—by using a thematic blank keys using coordinated accents.
The inspiration came from one of the most famous painting of humankind: Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow by Piet Mondrian.

Base Kit

Nothing is changed in Base Kit, I think it is already a solid kit

Now there are another 2 kits that I wanna add to this round: Dox to cover Ergodox and another similar layout (Broadwalk, Unigo66) and Stagger to cover standard keyboard.

Dox Kit

Because this kit intended to be used with Base Kit, the accent provided in this kit is quite minimal to press the price.

Stagger Kit

Personally I still want to cull the accent spacebars because they're already available on Originative and I believe their presence in this kit is adding a quite significant price hike.

Pricing
I haven't ask any quot to GMK for this round but last round was about €70 or around $90 for the base kit at 150 MOQ. Nowadays GMK quote is different, raised about 10-20% iirc. So take this info with a grain of salt.

Disclaimer
Of course the future of all the kits are depending on market interest. Round 1 is already hard enough so Round 2 will only happen if the demand really there (or there are vendors that brave enough to cover them). So please, fill the IC form to accurately gauge our interest

Dropping the accent Spacebars would be good to lower the price. But doing the base kit & stagger kit together might be a good idea too as they price for them together should be a lot better then them seperate

Drop all of the 6.25u/7u spacebars in the stagger kit and it should save a good deal in costs. I'd be in if the stagger kit happens.

Would love to see this in a uniform profile with PBT, makes more sense to me anyways as a blanks kit, plus that allows for more flexible layouts. KAM would be my first choice but DSA or XDA would be great as well.

I have the original set and I have to say, sometimes you gotta like the feel of different rows under your fingers. Especially when typing on blanks.

just filled up the IC form! looking forward to this! btw in regards to round 1 and round 2 the differences is just that round 2 can accept more layouts? but build wise all the same?

I really like this, and would like to get it, spacebars and all. But I wonder if it would be worth getting a quote from JTK as well? I could imagine mixing it with Red Riot and maybe other blank sets Puddsy plans on running. I'm a die hard GMK fan and am holding off judgement on JTK blanks until RR arrives but assuming it's all good it could be a wise alternative. Would certainly greatly improve the chances of hitting MOQ. GMK competition is fierce right now and blank sets are very niche.

I love both the Dox and the base set. However, would love to see what JTK can deliver. Red Riot's images look pretty good and super affordable.

SP doesn't do thick ABS caps in Cherry profile like GMK or JTK does, unfortunately.

Yea, I know, which is why I was suggesting SA profile.

I also asked, if I could run SA Blanks in Mondrian... No response yet though...

If you could maybe add two more white r4 1.5u caps to the dox kit for boards like the Sol that have 5 1.5u mods that would be nice. Otherwise no complaints.

I would like to have 2 more R4 1u's in case you want to go 1,5-1-1,5-7-same bottom row on a TKL. You obviously have 3 from the arrow cluster but no others. Basically 1u "windows" keys, except that they'r blank now

And since it's blank, I don't except a lot of extra cost.

Another suggestion would be split space support and a stepped "capslock".

So all together;

Tried to build the stagger kit in the current GMK blanks GB, but $200 for a R1 2u. I gtfo out of the spreadsheet so fast.

Huh, I never realized there was an IC for a second run. If this ever picks up again, i'm all for it! I've been wanting some more accents for mine, since I feel it could use a couple more. Would also help me get closer to having a full convex bottom row!

that stagger set would be able to give me the GMK blank set i've been wanting to have too, so double nice!
