2018.7.21 update

1.Sandblasting for F62-PE is done in the same factory where DELL and LENOVO laptop are sandblasted. The sandblasting quality is at the same level with the great brands. The cost is higher
2. The houseing is flat. The PCB is laid inside of housing with 7° angle

This label on assembled F62PE in photos is pasted by a enthusiast . No label or logo exist on housing except for PCB

F62 PE has its own PCB. Standard 60% would not fit.

The designer is busy with sample now and thinks that it would accelerate group buy time if no IC stage.

This is my dream keyboard, I've been eying it off for a while and I am glad you are running it. Thanks! Is it possible to get an option for getting steel or brass plates? For a keyboard this solid I think it would be sad to ruin the feel with an alu plate.

Is the PCB used the DZ60? That was listed as the pcb on an older version that was for sale. Does that imply that standard 60% will fit? If not, what is specifically stopping the standard 60percent pcb from working?

Also how many attachment points or screws are used to attach the pcb and case and plate? Your keyboard layouts look like only three attachment points? Maybe that’s just a bad picture.

How does the wire work? As it appears there is a gap from the top of the pcb to the top of the case. Is there an extension with a female usb-B flush with the case? Or does the removable cable connect to pcb and gets routed directly out of the case? Does that mean you have to open the case to change the cable?

Been looking forward to this GB but wouldn't mind at all if the buy was extended another two weeks since there was no IC phase. I'd also like to know if this is tray mount or not (looking at the layout/plate pictures it seems to be) and also what the total built weight is going to be.

I believe ALF has already successfully run a F62-PE GB in China. So this is technically a second GB.

Update: Looking at this pic

Wondering why non standard 60 % PCB would not fit. Some of the mount points look very similar. Is this a change to the case for this run?
I have no problem buying a nice PCB with this case, just for future proofing it, having an option for replacement PCBs would we nice.

I am here. The designer intially designed this set to be compatible with normal 60 PCBs. He changed that after many tests and make the PCB fixed with complicated details and for better typing experience .
Of course , this is why this set is more expensive than we expected.

1. About colors, black and Silver, Titanium are available now. Other colors are not available.
2. Unique 60% PCB for this set and normal 60% PCBs are not fit for this set. This is because the designer want to fix the PCB in optimum angle for better typing experience.
3. The cord in photos is enthusiast's tricky connection ways for assembling. The actual connection is usb mini b which is detachable

Some more open questions, as far as I can see:

How to specify the layout one would like to have?
How to get more than one PCB/plate? For an expensive custom case, not having a replacement PCB could be hell. Unusable case for ever.

I really like the case a lot. But still unsure because of the open questions. I only use split space layouts and would not go back to traditional layouts.

The layout is update in OP and the PCB is B-face series which you could use Bootmapper Client to allocate keys
