I can't be certain, since I don't own a KMAC and I'm not sure I've heard of anyone trying to do that. Might be worth asking in the simple questions thread in case someone else knows?

Good question. I know there was at least one revision required to iron out some wrinkles, but my understanding is that the boards that shipped are in good working order.
Here's the post where Ron receives the boards; if you skim through to the end of the thread, a few people post builds and I didn't see a mention of any issues. That said, I do know that he has some minor tweaks in mind before running another round.
