I recommend you leave the typing function off; the irritating thing (for the prankster) is it types actual words. Very dumb; random characters would be much better.

Keyloggers are also available at ThinkGeek if you suspect your wife of talking to her old boyfriends on Facebook.  Strangely enough, they are technically legal in most jurisdictions.

Now I DO recommend taking a key puller to work tomorrow and doing the numpad prank.  My SmarTrex (Unicomp) keyboard CAME this way.

I like the color scheme on that one; it manages to look ugly and cool at the same time.

Anyway, the last time someone tried moving keys around on my board I didn't notice until the next day when I had to type one-handed while handling a phone call. First time I noticed that I really don't look at the keys.

That jet black Unicomp really is cool. The white function keys add a certain pop to it as well. All you need is a red phone for the handset cradle. Every try converting it to buckling spring?

Tape over the mouse.  That's a fun one.  I did that to a co-worker one time, and she must have wasted over an hour trying to get it to work.

She wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, either.
