Beer has carbs for working out, best pre-workout in the game.

Beer doesn't make you fat..

It's the STEAKs + BEER  that does it..

Beer can only make you skinny..

Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it sure does.

The Green Cheek "Attack With Love" is honestly one of the best NE IPA's I've ever had. These guys haven't even been open for two months and they're already killing it. So stoked to have them close by.

I know this is a beer thread but can other drinks be discussed like ciders/vodka etc? Recently i tried some root beer vodka and I really like it. My uncle will give me some scotch and let me have a sip but I usually try to drink it all in one gulp which I know is bad. Typical like ciders even hard ciders.

I'm not sure if there's a post requirement but you can always start a thread if you want.

Tonight I'm having a Phillips Brewing anniversary ale,  Hopocalypse Meow. It is not as hoppy as I was expecting and for something 9% it's not as malty either.  I also love the label.

I've also decided decided to have a kriek tonight, from oud beersel. It's really nice and not as funky as some that I've had. It has a nice tart cherry taste.

OMG...  beer contains the type of phytoestrogens which trigger alpha estrogen receptors..

It is THE most powerful phytoestrogen known ..

Basically,   it gives you manbewbs,    hahahahahhhaha

Beer hop estrogen is commonly  used in menopausal treatment pills, because it relieves menopausal symptoms effectively like real estrogen.

Where did you get the apple brandy noir?

Bought it at Taps & Caps last July. Unsure if you're familiar cuz they are a local chain of growler bars/taprooms run by the same people who run Lone Star Beverages in Carrollton. They have locations in Fort Worth and Lewisville. Used to have one in Denton as well but that closed a few weeks ago. Excellent draft and bottle selection with good prices :)

Those apple brandy noirs are extremely hard to find. They only did one batch of it.

Been a huge fan of milkshake IPAs of late.

Local brewery has been doing them.

Their last peach one was my favorite but this mango one was great too.

The Copenhagen Beer Fest in Boston starts today, I've got a ticket for tomorrow's Green session.

Very excited to try many tasty craft brews with coworkers.

Had a La Chouffe belgian beer the other day and it was absolutely delicious.

Wish I could get more nice beer on draft where I live. Everywhere doing exclusively IPA's, which aren't my favourite.

Picked up a 6er of Dechutes Pacific Wonderland and I have never encountered this before but the beer was ROTTEN! When I opened it it smelled like straight-up rotten eggs, took a swig and immediately gagged and puked. Apparently something can go wrong with the yeast during brewing for this to happen, but man what a complete waste of money. I wound up just throwing away 6 full beers.

You should have reached out to the brewery. Odds are good that they’d replace the beer for you.

eeww, Dechutes is overrated. I went to the brewery, their fresh squeezed is good but Crux is so much better, they just don't have the marketing/footprint yet.

I contacted them and they did wind up refunding my purchase and said they would let QC know to check the batch.

Anyone live in or near Boise, ID? I'd love to try this beer, but it doesn't look like they ship beer. If anyone is willing to acquire a bottle or two and send them my way, I'd be more than happy to compensate you.

Brought some things to share with the family for Thanksgiving.

Bottle Logic Darkstar November 2017 and Red Eye November 2017; Goose Island BCBS 2015 and 2017

Green Cheek Cocohut (coconut milkshake IPA) and Modern Times Critical Band

While all excellent, Red Eye was far and away the favorite from the stouts. The coffee comes in front and center, but still with an awesome bourbon note on the finish. Cocohut weirds me out because I'm really not a big fan of coconut in beer, and milkshake IPAs are really hit and miss for me as well... but they absolutely nailed this one. Such a well rounded, delicious beer. It was a huge hit as well.
