So what's your opinion here on geekhack on these gray models and the ebay seller?

Personally, I think the industrial gray Model M's are incredibly cool looking.

The grey color just adds to the already industrious look and feel of the Model M.  I would buy one on the spot if I knew I was going to use it.

The Industrial models are identical to the regular Model Ms, except for the colour. Seller is good, a lot of people from around here (myself included) have got a keyboard from him at one stage or another. One thing to note is that the Industrials are more green than grey.

Seems like it sold, was it anyone from around here?

He's got some other ones as well. Not just the one.

Like this one, which I'm probably not gonna get. That's just a little too geeky for me.

Too geeky? That's probably the best-looking, full-size Model M available.  Pull the trigger.  Buy it now.

I meant the additional red math symbols on each key.

€: I meant to say " ... the additional APL symbols on each key.", of course. ;-)

I've purchased three Model M's from Brian (industrial, space saver and M13) and they were all in (or exceeded) the condition described in the auction description.

IMO the industrials are much nicer looking than the beige Model M's, otherwise they're pretty much identical to a regular M of the same vintage.

Let me tell you if I could type on my Model M's for any length of time I would have one of those. As someone else stated they just have the industrial look that really sets them apart from your everyday Model M's.

cf my long standing argument that unicomp needs to engineer a 'lighter bs'.

my ideas:
--one version with lower spring tension, the light switch version.
--one version with the spring/materials redesigned so that it buckles but doesnt click. (tactile but not clicky).

come on unicomp, are you listening?! ;-D

it's the mini 122!  too bad it's not pc compatible :(

wonder how easy/hard it is to swap controller boards on these bs boards.  Thats a neat looking layout.

Yea after I saw that I had to go searching for it and can't find anything about what is in it. But was beginning to think it had to be a rubber dome board just based on the price alone.

Luckily a collegue of mine is in Florida atm, so I get the chance to save $30 on shipping. Yay!
