I was feeling pretty rusty so I made some more molds from classic sculpts and tried my hand at some simple two colors.

The splotches are goldenrod I flicked into the mold and the 1st color,

Was a lot of fun to start the process up again.  Glad to see my materials are all OK, and that my technique isn't terrible.

Ooooh!  Ooooh!  I have an idea.

If you want to practice some more, maybe you could...I dunno...make a small batch of familiar colours for someone...

My point exactly. By "new caps" I simply meant the ones he has shown in the picture above, not an entirely new design. This was not a stab at binge.

For the record-- Hoffman is a great pal of mine.  We've met up at the cons, and we have a good personal relationship.  Before he was ever a mod he took part in the initial funding of the Bingecap project.  He even has a hand painted Lumber Chap key.  Sometimes I throw a bunch of my duds at him, and trust me he doesn't get a lot of pretty things but he also buys from my shop like everyone else and snoops on my B-stock thread.

Like anyone everyone else he gets special treatment.  What does this mean?  I listen to everyone, and take into personal consideration things people say.  Hoffman has no final say in any of my color choices or designs, but much like the rest of you fine folks I do borrow some good ideas now and again ;)

oh and I failed at making tri-colors last night, but honestly it was pretty damn close to being perfect,

Honestly, you shouldn't have to defend yourself and what you choose to do with the caps you create, if you choose to give all the caps you make to hoff thats your right as an artist.  Luckily for the the community you have been nice enough to spread them around and give all geekhackers a chance to own them. Side note, have you ever considered doing a set based on Lovecrafts work.

1/3 are complete- ugh defects.  But I like the outcome!  This will definitely be a concept I run with.  Each key I do this way will be named/themed after a type of soda.

This is called Root Beer

It's not overexposure... they reflect a lot of light.  Looks like they glow :3
