Here's hoping it goes smoother than the last website sale :)

you and me both m8

Did I miss something?

Months ago there was a sale, first you had to get to the index page then if you were lucky you could get on the page for the cap type, then pick a colour, add a sticker, "add to cart" and finally "checkout".  At any of these six stages more often than not the site errored due to the massive demand and you had to start again.  All the caps should have sold in seconds but it was at least 1/2 an hour of pain before the last ones went.

Not sure what it looked like from the other side but I'm sure it wasn't pretty!

That was a year ago .. lol

I got a Lion Keyng from that sale

Can't be that long, I've only been of the artisan hunt since Christmas!  You must be thinking of one of the famous Gator sales in the more distant past :)

There are lots of pretty caps in this sale but only two I'd really like to own - I'll be trying!

with your sales its first come first serve right? and is there a limit to how many you get and do you get to choose which color and design? or is it all random?

My sales usually have an element where people are noticed for being first in line.  Even with the random key distribution in the Ocean Sand and Sky the orders for spots were recognized by order of ticket purchase.  On my website I do not have the means of restricting the purchase of keys.  You can buy as many as you'd like; however, people tend to suffer from taking too many pickles from the pickle jar.  The website will cancel your entire purchase if one item is out of stock.  It is best to know what you want, find it, and buy it as quickly as you can.

In the future I may have a better solution, but I'm doing the best my tools and knowledge can provide :)

basically be on time, be prepared (and considerate of others), be prompt checking out, and there's an okay chance you'll get something you want. everyone should be going into this with only one or two caps in mind (read: you should only be buying one) because the greedy will be punished by either the cart system, or the website inserting a gun into its mouth about 20 seconds into the sale, and then pulling the trigger 40 seconds later. there's no time to sit and fart around or load your cart up with a bunch of caps, so just try and buy the one cap you want, and if you fail then try and buy the next cap you prioritized ahead of time.

Would it be possible to find out where on the site the sale will happen? :3 Never bought on bingecap.com before, but I'm assuming they'll all show up under the Shop section in an individual listing per cap? :3

:(

Odds of seeing a Keythulu V3 for Topre in the future? Or should I be investing in MX-compatibke sliders?

Considering my current projects include sculpting new keycaps, fulfilling Zealios, and Hyperfuse you may want sliders if time is an issue.  Topre conversions for existing caps are very low on my to-do list.

Looks like I have to drop out of this sale =[

Camera store is giving me a great deal...

$3190 CDN for the Sony A7ii with kit lens and Sony FE 90mm Macro lens.

The A7ii kit is $2200 CDN alone which means they're giving me the macro lens for under $1000 CDN ($360 discount).

Can't pass that up =S

Good luck to the others!

Binge, I know people on Geekhack are a lot more friendly and fair than other forums I go to but the way you do your sales on the site could lead to someone DDoSing your site and picking up a large portion of the caps at a later time by disabling the DDoS when people have probably given up.

Unless of course you have a good DDoS protection in which case ignore this.

I do remember a sale on techkeys but that was smaller scale. So I'm just going to have to be ready when the time comes.

One thing I'd like to know... Is every keycap shown in the gallery an unique piece? Or will there be several pieces of each models color scheme available?

He generally groups the sale pages by cap design for these larger sales, and then you choose the color option for that cap from a drop down on that page. So pages for Keyng v3, Keythulu V2, Keythulu V3, Slo-Fi, Ork Trooper, and then all the available colors for each design, for 37 individual caps in total (based off the pictures).

Someone probably said it already, but also remember that you should be logged into the website ahead of time to cut down on the amount of time you have to be on it while it's getting slammed (which also helps the site).

Thanks, that helps a lot with what I was wondering :)

Considering my current projects include sculpting new keycaps, fulfilling Zealios, and Hyperfuse you may want sliders if time is an issue.  Topre conversions for existing caps are very low on my to-do list.

and Binge, is the gallery the full list available? If so, only one Keythulhu V3?

One thing I'd like to know... Is every keycap shown in the gallery an unique piece? Or will there be several pieces of each models color scheme available?

Depends on the key.  You'll see there are specific items in stock, you'll see a photo which gives an example of what you could receive, and there is a disclaimer stating that you are in for a finished key in that colorway.  The photos on that site do not 100% accurately represent the key, but are really damn close.
60% keyboards, 100% of the time.

So there's more keys in total than there is in the gallery? :3

Do you use shopify to check out? It gave me trouble while I was checking out on the Zealios switches the other day, so I want to be sure that I can check out on my laptop without having to get around some things and maybe even switch computers and therefore miss your sale.

I just won a few of Bro's escape keys, I will have to convince the wife that I still need more keycaps tomorrow ;)
