To give a little perspective... I had made 100 keycaps for the hyper hype hyperfuse sticket raffle.  We had many more times the number of entrants than we had keys.  This sale was very similar.  5 minutes prior to the sale going live Techkeys sent me an e-mail that said to the effect that there were more unique IP addresses than there was stock of the keys.

Which was to be expected, really, since people knew about it way before it started; I'm surprised the webpage didn't crash.
Was there a particular reason for "first come-first served" sale instead of a raffle?
I held a particularly large raffle in Oct/Nov.  Wifu and I are still recovering.  With all of the changes and projects going on right now it  would have only meant delays in shipping.

We really aren't interested in slowing down.  We aren't interested in making compromises with our time and miss out on things like the Philadelphia meet. We are interested in the next steps for HWS and seeing a system put into place that can support things like raffles.

I'm sorry first come first serve was fast and didn't get everyone the chance they felt they deserved.  The website did not crash.  The successful buyers did what I always suggest from day 1 of making artisans, log into the payment gateway before the sale and only order 1 key.  If the checkout fails try another, but for heavens sake anyone can buy 1 key in a matter of 6-20 seconds.  It is no wonder I hear people saying, "I had 3 items in my cart and check out failed."  The cart means nothing in these sales, and while we are aware of how much it sucks... the better way is being developed as we speak.  It just needs more time.

I know someone from the Philly meet wants to see a SloFi or DWI Jack to me. Pretty please

And keep doing a great job Binge. All this is just showing how popular and sought after your caps are ;)

I wasn't complaining, just curious if there's a particular reason for not doing raffle - thanks for clarifying  :thumb:

I went to bed for a little bit of sleep to wake up at 03:30, I had an alarm and everything. I woke up the next day unaware of how much time had passed. These looked very nice. Keep up the nice work HWS!

Tips for First Come First Serve Sales:
1. Log in payment provider 3 min before hand so it doesnt log you out too early.
2. Know your checkout screen (Try adding things to cart early to know where buttons are.)
3. Kick everyone else off the wifi
4. Verify all your payment options are valid
5. Buy a sturdy F5 key. That sexy beast you know will smash!
6. If internet is slow head to nearest neighbors or friends house whose is better.
7. Pray to RNG or Cthulu for one of his minions.
8. Know the rarity scale for demand on certain keys, you may want to skip those.
9. Pray again to Binge for Luck stats.
10. Use pepper as an alternative to salt. No one wants saltiness when Binge doesnt have to do any public sales at all.
11. Coffee will get you fingers vibrating enough to make you the Flash at checkout.
12. Tell yourself I think I can while playing Eye of the Tiger.

With these steps youll have better chances of getting in sales.  :thumb:

Edit: Is it called Skullthulu or Alienthulu? Techkeys named the image for Polar Skullthulu, Alienhulu. I kind of like Alienhulu.

As for a sturdy F5... nah, get the easy auto refresh extension for chrome, set to 1 second and let it do the work for you.

These Skullthulhu keycaps are just incredible.

Hopefully I'll have a tour coming through the area during a meet in the future.

Putting some prints in the mail today.  Love it when the directions from the buyer are "Surprise me".  Had a lot of fun working in color and/or multiple colors.

So I got through digging out a frame for several of these that I think will look really well.

This will be a really great start to a collection I'm looking forward to (now to try and find a variety of your OG keycaps).

These came out really great and I have to say I'm dying for some print variation on the skull logo (and a keycap) in the grey/yellow/blue scheme... Maybe some illustrations or even chalk transfer art would keep with the brand theme you guys have created.

We had a really great art scene in Atlanta (Underground Atlanta had some cool shops of clothing, accessories, etc. all from local artists) with pop-up shops, restaurants, and concerts that I've been longing for ever since I got to Orlando... These will help decorate my computer room to feel like "home."

Your enthusiasm over our prints is very refreshing.  We plan to get down and carve out a block or two this week.  With more support we might be able to afford to splurge on a 3-4 color silk screen station :D

The journey was always the most fun in these endeavors.

We were bulding tour buses in a barn (literally) just 4 years ago in Kissimmee FL with a table saw, a drill station, and a single pressure pot to spray adhesive. Every piece of equipment was a victory in itself.

A silk screen station would be a smart move for the flexibility it would afford (1-off shirts?!).

That came out really good.

Good scaling with the tongue, too.

How well would that cast with the voids in the center area (around the base of the tongue)? Or is it going to be skeletonized like the furt/killwalla?

*** Clarification on my question/suspicion of skeltonization***

It looks like it was held back uniformly around the edges of the base mold and injection spaces, which is why I ask. I've never cast anything with resin, so I could be way off on this.

I'm only going to show progress.  That will be easiest.  I've described this key design aspect at great length, and if you happen to be right or whatever then you will see it happen as we move through the motions. :)
