I bought the board recently thanks to a friendly geekhacker who published the link in the Great finds forum. Anyway, I liked the board but I wanted to see, if I could do the stem and spring swap. To do that, I bought a donor G80-1000 with Cherry blues and here are the results!

Along the way I also enhanced CeeSa's method (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:12790) of popping-open Cherry switches (see vid). All you need is a flat-head precision screwdriver.

I'm gonna use the keycaps from 7bit for this board.

looking real good!
So thats what you wanted the 1000 for^^.
I love compact boards with blues. Maybe i should do this to one of my 1800s as well.

Thanks! I added a how-to video for the stem swap, check it out! :)
With this method you can easily swap the stems for switches with stabilizers as well.
Cheers
