What profile are Clack's blanks? (Candy Corn in particular) I'd love to have some as F+J but I have a sinking feeling that they're OEM row 1 and would be super out of place next to a Cherry-profile set.

They're kinda Cherry profile but a little higher. At least that's how my Mint Green arrow set is.

Cool, maybe that'll be nice in terms of homing in on them in the absence of bars or nubs.

Could anyone assist in identifying my Clack? It's far too dark to be P1, Gum, or Milky Purple. My gut tells me it's the far left prototype shown here

Pretty sure those are Topre (looks like an 87U), so it'd have to be something else.

Almost looks like Kurple Push, but I think it's a tiny bit darker. I think your guess is probably the best one so far

Looks like it's not mine, despite the yellow content.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I have never seen a bubble in a Clack. CC wouldn't let that past his Nintendo Seal Of Quality unless it was an F2 in which case there would be a big 'ol hole in the back.

Bubbles indicate a fake:

The location of the bubbles make me just think it is a minor casting issue. The doesn't look to be fake but then again I am not really a clack expert.

It's never more than a scratch or two on the bottom, he would have F2'd that one for sure

That's not a minor man, that's a quite big bubbles but not a casting issue for sure . That's seem like the fake one. Furthermore i never seen any ice Blue clack with blur like that . The transparency is too bad since the sell told me that from original first one ( not have 3 dots )

That is a small bubble and would not effect cap function and is due to a casting error in some way. It should be marked as an F2 which have either slight casting defects or have an incorrect color shade which would cause the incorrect transparency. It does look to be real but that is my belief unless someone else with more knowledge would like to prove me wrong.

As well as the color being way cloudier than any Ice Blue I have seen. I have one right in front of me and it is transparent, especially along the base of the cap.

This is like between a real Ice Blue and a Slushy Blue.

wtf do I have here?

Seller claimed it was EK Blue. But sherwin also sent me an EK blue a while back which can be seen here: (left is new "ek" blue, centre is old "ek" blue, right is globe blue clackvent)

And here it is next to an F2

I guess my theory is that the old EK blue sherwin sent me (it's really worn out, all the texture has gone shiny) had changed colour in the sun and darkened while this one I just got today seems to be brand spanking new?

dunno. It looks like milk but it's not

wtf do I have here?

Show Image

Seller claimed it was EK Blue. But sherwin also sent me an EK blue a while back which can be seen here: (left is new "ek" blue, centre is old "ek" blue, right is globe blue clackvent)

And here it is next to an F2

I guess my theory is that the old EK blue sherwin sent me (it's really worn out, all the texture has gone shiny) had changed colour in the sun and darkened while this one I just got today seems to be brand spanking new?

dunno. It looks like milk but it's not

Wasn't there some weirdness about older clacks fading a little if they've been in the sun for a while?

I'd bet it's that.

yeah that's what i'm thinking. but i'm gonna be upset to never get confirmation :( clackman help !

Could you not then compare the underside colors?  No sunlight affecting the underside.
