They're G80-3000s with blues and blank caps.

AFAIK the capslock and spacebar use non standard G80-3000 spacing.

Indeed! I think if, for some reason, it drops to $50 I'm buying. Only thing preventing me now is I'm fairly certain they're PCB mount like every other g80-3000. Hate PCB mount...

Price is down to US $59.96

The only thing I can think of to complement the incompatible capslock/spacebar might be a Leopold PBT Blank Navy cap....

received mine today.  some shine on keycaps, little bit dirty, but pretty good condition.
The 1.25x keycaps in the bottom row has centered stem, and the spacebar has off centered stem.

I picked one of these up and mine was in pretty good condition. A little shine on the home row caps, but everything else was pretty nice looking. Just a bit of dust in the case. Switches and stabs were in excellent condition.

Definitely worth the purchase.

Can anyone recommend a cheap set of inexpensive lettered caps for this? I'm thinking of picking this up for the family computer. Young kids have a tough enough time using the keyboard, don't want to make them hate me and setup a blank keyboard to use...

Tai Hao caps. I think mechanicalkeyboards.com has them as well.

Here's the page on Mechanicalkeyboards.com. Looks to be a little bit more but $30 for a full set shipped is a good price regardless.

I am considering picking up a second

The only downside is 2KRO, which is why I opted for the 3494 for my DAS II caps

I decided to pull the trigger. Started with an offer of $45, then $50, both immediately rejected. $55 went through, though, and with free shipping that is certainly fair.

I have the ones in blue. They are pretty nice. Tempted to buy one of each of the other three colors (red, yellow, green) and see what kind of Frankenstein set I could make for letters, numbers, punctuation, and modifiers. :D

I was thinking about sending them a note that went along the lines of "I'm only buying this for the keycaps.  So I don't care what a banged up **** it is as long as the keycaps don't have any shine."

Seconded. The newer models look goofily asymmetrical, kinda Star-Warsy. I'd feel uncomfortable using one for business; my clients would make lightsaber jokes.

Indeed, like a tux, or a little black dress. As PC Mag put it: "Piano keys don't display what musical note each key represents, so why should a keyboard display what character each key is?"

My $55 Das Keyboard arrived, and it was in very good shape. I tested the keys (all worked), popped the blank POM keycaps, vacuumed out the fluff, found an extra keyboard spring from who-knows-where, popped in the side-printed POM keycaps I got a few days ago (all but the space and the capslock fit, which doesn't really matter to me, I just used the originals). I'm posting this in the "What did you get in the mail today?" thread, but here are the pictures:

As it looked like unboxed, with blank POM keycaps:
101954-0

As it looked like without keycaps:
101956-1

And finally, as it looks right now as I type:
101958-2

If you notice the trash bag under it -- well, I wanted to make sure the mystery fluff didn't get anywhere before I got rid of it. It was surprisingly clean, though.

Looks nice with the side print. Mine was pretty clean but cleaned off the caps before i popped them onto my Pok3r. I still need to fix/replace the space and caps lock before i take any pics though. I'm going to be putting some cheap blue caps on it (the das) hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

Where are the side-printed POM from?

Dante asked the same thing, so I hope he doesn't mind if I'm lazy and cut and paste the answer again. :)

I got them from aliexpress.com from a seller called EZ Mandarin Shoppers. Here is the link: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/new-2014-keycool-104-white-PBT-keycap-cherry-mx-mechanical-keyboard-black-POM-side-print/1911069290.html

Note, I specifically told the seller in the notes I wanted POM with side print, so there would be no mistakes (he also has gray and white PBT in top and side print as well as blank). They cost $39.98 with shipping, only $15 less than my "Ebay-special" keyboard, but I *really* wanted side-printed POM.

From purchase to delivery took about 3 1/2 weeks (4/26 to 5/20). They seem well-made, and I really like the feel.

One cautionary note: they grip Cherry MX stems TIGHT! Changing keycaps from my test keyboard to the Das Keyboard was quite a chore, though on the plus side, I found an easy way to pop the top of Cherry stems to change springs. :) Just something to note if you swap keycaps -- if you put them on a keyboard and keep them there, you'll be fine. The only things that didn't fit on the Das Keyboard/Cherry MX 3000 were the capslock (Cherry had a single stem/step design, rather than switch and stabilizer) and the space bar (the Cherry switch is off-center on the Das compared to the one I purchased), but the originals are fine in those position, though a little lower in profile than the one bought from AliExpress.

Finally, Dante did point out the picture on the page is slightly different than what I received -- the website picture shows media symbols (volume and the like) on the function keys, while I just received basic function keys. Still, I rather like them.

Snarfangel, would you be able to post close up photos of the bottom of the keycaps between DAS POM and the aliexpress side print?

Just want to get an idea of the thickness.  If Keycool made them they should be thin; however I've never seen Keycool make a set of their caps without the media functions so I'm not completely sure if they made them.

Had to take the picture with an iPhone. The POM key is in the center (it was the capslock). Right is a Vortex doubleshot PBT, left is a Wyse doubleshot ABS.
Let's see if I can post it full size. :)
