The 970 is a great card!  Runs everything like a champ :3.  I can usually get over 100 fps even with max setting and 1440p.

I can see that for less graphically demanding games with a single 970, sure. You won't get over 100 fps, max settings at 1440p with just one 970 with reasonably demanding games though.
