Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this would still help, but I want to point out the fact that the runner's uploaded drawing of the bottom plate is incorrect in the four corners. I was able to ask a friend of mine of modify the drawing so that it would fit in the cutout on the bottom, and you can download it below.

Please note that the thickness of the plate is 3mm, and while it was the best my friend could do off of the original drawing, it's still not a 100% fit. I had to shave off 2 corners of the plate a bit further, but the result was more than ok, at least better than having an empty space.

Cool observation. Much appreciated that you've decide to share the finding and the file. Do you have pics of what this ended up looking like?

For sure:

I've only tried it with black mica, which cost like $2 for the piece and it looks pretty good. Will definitely come to a more permanent solution such as stainless steel in the future.

Wow, very neat. If you manage to do it in metal, and you have to edit the file again (since you have to still shave off a few milimeters) would you mind sharing that again? I'd be interested in getting one done in steel as well.

To be honest the amount of shaving was so minimal I intend to stop making further changes to the file, and there's a possibility it could get worse. I imagine the stainless steel piece will have to be polished to look good anyway, so you can make sure that it fits before having it done. Again, I only had to shave half a mm of material off 2 corners.

Good luck with your project, I'm sure it'll be worth it  :thumb: :thumb:

Hey guys, troubleshooting question if anyone can help:

I spilled some beer on my board last night.  I disconnected from the computer and cleaned it.  It didn't seem too bad.

Nothing worked on reconnect, but I loaded new firmware and was able to connect.  Everything is working fine until I disconnect from usb.  When I reconnect, I hear the "something is connecting via usb sound," but the board doesn't work until I flash the firmware again.

Any ideas?

Something is probably fried if it wont hold firmware, but it's possible something is being shorted. How long did you wait until you plugged it back in, and did you do anything besides just wipe up the beer? (Like put the pcb/plate/switches in rice, or silica or wtvr)

sounds like something the controller fried or is shorting

might be worth going over those contacts with a bit of iso alcohol and seeing if that helps

but if it doesn't hold firmware it's probably screwed

SaiB - CP's Bottom weight plate Document Open !

You can edit it, as long as you specify the source (SaiB - CP).

    (Attachment Link)

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this would still help, but I want to point out the fact that the runner's uploaded drawing of the bottom plate is incorrect in the four corners. I was able to ask a friend of mine of modify the drawing so that it would fit in the cutout on the bottom, and you can download it below.

Please note that the thickness of the plate is 3mm, and while it was the best my friend could do off of the original drawing, it's still not a 100% fit. I had to shave off 2 corners of the plate a bit further, but the result was more than ok, at least better than having an empty space.

Hey PainMaster, could you please release a fixed weight plate file? Did you have weight plates made for your personal SaiB-CPs?
The plate corner radius in your original file seems to be incorrect. It is about 5.5mm whereas the actual bottom piece weight plate cutout has corner radiuses closer to 10mm.

Thanks for taking the time to review the plate file.
If corner radiuses don't match, the weight plate won't fit into the bottom piece cutout (?).
