UK pound sign on ANSI keyboard help?

I live in the UK where we use ISO as standard, but I tend to use ANSI for mechanical keyboards as keycaps are easier to find and so on

For the most part Im used to the layout so its all fine untill I need to type the "£" sign. I have a 100% and I can use the ALT+156, but it wont work on my 60% as i obviously dont have the num pad.
For some reason it doesnt work on the 100% when i use the numbers across the top, so im assuming it's that?

do I have to resort to macros?

if you have a programmable keyboard, program it in

I usually Google Pound Sign and copy paste it, or if I'm lazy I'll just put GBP on the end.

Make a macro or reprogram your keyboard.

ok thanks Ill get onto making a macro, does anyone have any idea why it only works with the number pad and not the regular numbers tho?

That's just the scancode. No real reason for it.
