Don't ever do a Kin25 or an IvanIvanovich, you have to have a lot more decent character than those two (although yuktsi really saved us in the TX1800 GB).

Just be totally honest if any troubles should eventuate and frankly they always do with any Group Buy, so always let us know what's happening if anything serious has occurred.

I showed the pics to my wife first who is a designer and she liked the color contrast of blue and silver or orange and blue over orange and red. I went with blue and silver as I think finding keysets and artisans will be easier to find for it.

Already have keys waiting for this keyboard, always pays to buy up every sort of key-set because some shall work with this keyboard easily. Besides I've chosen GOLD and Red which is different from Orange sunshine, because the FIRST real (original) Iron Man suit was Gold and Red.

LZ stuff is usually switches/LEDs/stabs. Diodes and resistors tend to be preseoldered.

EDIT: If you read the description it actually tells you what's soldered: "PCB is Full SMT(pre-soldered Device, Diodes, Resistors, RGB Leds)"

It won't be much cheaper. Usually there's a base cost and then a cost per 0.5kg. You'd only be shaving off the difference between the base cost and the 0.5kg cost which, if your friend is not local, may add up to be more than the cost of shipping within the country.

I was also invoiced last night and I cancelled the invoice because I wanted make numerous changes to my order. I thought it would be easier deal with a new order than to make all the changes I wanted (and more clear as to what i wanted) , sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused.

As soon as I get confirmation that my current order is cancelled, I'll submit my new order!

I'd also like to know whether it was just early invoicing and the timeline on the OP is still in effect.

Everyone wants the WAR MACHINE Colours because my nephew wants it as well, hence I amended my previous order for him to his choice.

Although the keyboard plate will be all RED to match the leds colour. Can't wait to see how this will turn out here.

He has let me know that my keyboard shall be assembled and finished by him and shipped before Xmas time (definitely this year).

Don't know anything about those wanting to receive their unassembled pieces but he is working on it. The quality of his work is up there with all the 'perfectionists' hence you have to tolerate the waiting times associated with that 'disease'.

He won't go GON on us here because have received all of his previous keyboards in about the same time period, which is on average anywhere around four to six months (assembled).

Yep not worried --- more like impatient to get my hands on the kit. Thanks for the update, Elrick ~ When I first got into mechs I looked into ordering from GON, im glad I didn't go that route. Furthermore, I've always been fond of the LZ boards I've seen around here.

The Mrs says a decent sized cardboard box got delivered today and she noted it was HEAVY.

Got her to check where it's from and yes, it came from KOREA. Also got her to open it up and after removing about four meters of soft white foam material from the internal box, finally she could see the LZ TKL nestled between some heavy white foam brackets.

She has to call my idiot nephew over to pick it up tonight, so the deal has been done. Thanks LZ for a very smooth transaction, looking forward to seeing your work when I get back in town

Agreed, the keyboard with all it's Cherry Clears installed with their leds look insanely like an Art piece, ready for display at the New York MoMA Gallery.

He did out do himself with this hefty example of Fine Korean Craftsmanship, which to me is now comparable to unique fine art objects created by the new masters of postmodernism - LZ should be one of them

I has received the package. I connect the PCB with my computer for a quick test and only the led of ARC place light up. All of other rgb led are not working. I tried to use JIGON to set the LED, it only work on 1 rgb led at ARC , all of others didn't light up. Have anyone got the same problem ?

I has received the package. I connect the PCB with my computer for a quick test and only the led of ARC place light up. All of other rgb led are not working. I tried to use JIGON to set the LED, it only work on 1 rgb led at ARC , all of others didn't light up. Have anyone got the same problem ?

The LEDs are running in a series, so if one LED isn't connected correctly all that come after that do not work. So my guess is one solder spot of LED2 is not connected.

You're right. 1 of spots of RGB 1 was not correctly soldered. I put some solder iron on it. Then all go the lights.Thank you
But another problem come, RGB 7 can not display blue tho.It is fine right ? We dont use the RGB7 at all xD

That rgb is faulty i guess. Sometimes when soldering, the heat might get to the bulb and ruin it. Those ws2812b used on most boards is quite fragile

Basically -- Upon plugging in the board it doesnt actually type regularly (even after mapping in jigon) it does these weird macro inputs & changes some properties of how my pc works (can't dbl left click to open files)

Furthermore, left alt is working is no longer working(checked -- wasn't a cold joint, etc.) and the left rgb for the left side frosted insert went out after working for some time.

Any help is appreciated.

So it turns out that scroll lock was toggled, so I had to remap it via JigOn ---and so that weird interaction was solved.

Also fixed my left alt by desoldering the switch completely and resoldering it back !

now the only issue I have is the left RBG led is dead -- i tried adding solder to the showing points but to no avail. I also read in the Compact SQ thread that other people were having similar issues and they touched up the solder in some of the other rgb leds (that also didn't work)

Am I out of luck? Do I simply order another LED from mouser and replace it? (i believe the part number is ws2812b)

The only thing I want to ask you about is that if you have extra BLUE LZ IRON Bottom Case by any chance? The one I got has its both top and bottom cases red. If you do have extra can I buy it from you? Or if you don't have extra but you have one for your own collection, are you willing to maybe trade it with my Red bottom case? I really loved your work and I will appreciate if you can help with this. (I do want it so badly!!!)

Hey Kin from Txkeyboards.com apparently has some plz iron top and bottom plate extras for sale. Thought you can’t just buy the bottom. You would have to purchase the set.

So I have a RGB LED stuck red on Windows and Mac, but for some reason works fine on Ubuntu... anyone have any idea what's wrong here? Firmware flashes don't fix it.

try PMing LZ, he's typically pretty responsive

if that doesn't work, kin (txkeyboards) sometimes has parts for these lying around as well

no guarantees, as the GB for this was forever ago
