This writing is probably good general knowledge at the time, much like galen's humors..


The people of the time were not as aware of the degree of interconnectedness between all the cybernetic systems of our planet.

So while their logic is sound, and heralded even today,   their absolute vision is myopic by modern standards.

I am currently reading it and found it interesting. I would recommend it to anyone, young or old. It's contents are not just something to talk about in a classroom or philosophy club but something which anyone can use and start applying in their own lives. One lesson for example is that life is too short to complain for even a minute. I've had a few tough weeks at work for example and I ended up complaining to a coworker. Looking back this was pointless as I was complaining about something that didn't matter and was out of my control anyways.

I echo this sentiment. Most of the stuff we spent years learning in school is focused on secure employment. We don't learn anything about mastering our personal psychology. About dealing with the pressures that come with adult life. Social skills, succesful relationships, shaping our characters etc. are topics that are apparently unworthy of being taught.
