It's cuz idiots like me never use geekhack because I never messed with the settings and always complained about how it wasn't how I normally like it.... oops

Even after I messed around with the GH settings in-browser I never got around to posting. Last time I tried out the Tapatalk app I couldn't figure it out at all, but the current version is actually pretty nice once you set everything up. Definitely makes it easier to use the forum.

Phrased it wrong, the result is stupid. I think the rule should've been x posts before date, not account creation, to prevent what's happening.

I admire Eat_the_food's effort to bring more people into the Geekhack community, but I am not certain how effective it may be in the long term. Those who are likely to be active on Geekhack in the long term are likely already here or would have ended up here sooner or later, whereas many from other communities such as Reddit might only be active for as long as it takes to fulfill his minimum post requirements.
