one trademark of the bauhaus design back then was to write everything in lowercase letters. Id appreciate if everything on the keyboard were lowercase letters or at least the legends.

Like it. Looks really interesting, but some feedback-I wanted to say the same things. Looks interesting, but I don't like the coloured symbols very much, and I definitely don't like the non-centered legends. I might or might not buy with the coloured shifted symbols but I will definitely not buy with edge-aligned legends.
- Not a fan of the edge aligned legends- it looks weird on the bottom row with all other legends being centered. It works fine for all other rows, though.
- Not a fan of the shifted accents, although it makes perfect sense- just don't like having mono colorways with a colored accent. Maybe a gray tone for both sets- since they'll be less of a pop vs the bow/wob
Overall solid. I'll be interested as this develops.

Really every aspect of this keycap seems to be sooo well thought of. I already skipped a few groupbuys, since all I want now is this set. Sorry if this was answered somewhere else already but is there a rough estimate? I guess currently FK is handling the MBK groupbuy, but could it be produced after this?

still wishing the ergo will have legends since it's an uniform profile but the kits are great right now.
I'll look into this some more, but from what I understand, every ergo layout user has their own custom setup so it'll be difficult to account for all of them 😅
The good thing about flat profile is that you don't need to remake a 1u mod in different rows (i.e. ortho cherry profile child kits often have 3x 1u enter keys - you'd only need one). So the total keys in an ortho kit is much lower - one enter, one esc, one tab, one delete, one backspace, a 2u spacebar, ctrl/alt/win etc. all as 1u
Ergo and NorDe friends please keep an eye on this thread, will present a legended ergo keys option and a NorDe option sometime this week and would like your feedback.
One other thing: I'm using a Vortex Race 3 which has these unusual 1.5u ESC and DEL keys. No doubt I'd be more than happy if there were a kit covering this but I guess it's even more niche than NorDe. So to cover those keys, will the ergo kit be the one with spare 1.5u keys? Or any other way how I could cover them?
Hello all, here are the proposed changes. NorDe support (without tertiary legends) added into what was originally the Misc Kit. And legended ergo keys replacing the blanks in the Compact Kits, with some 1u and 1.5u keys that can already be found in the Base Kits.

May I ask from which layout you got the position of the "@" legend? After looking at many international layouts I now see what a cluster**** international layouts are. For Mac ISO-DE "@" would be secondary legend on the "L" key. It would ruin the clean alphas tho and I'm more than happy to have the num row with correct secondary legends, the umlauts and what ever the keys around the "Enter" and "r Shift" are called. Also very nice to have those 1.5u ESC and DEL keys!

Thanks for sharing this, will look into swapping 2u vertical Tab out for a blank mod-colored concave spacebar. Unfortunately the survey doesn't include findings on concave vs convex other than "There were additional comments that spacebars should be convex rather than concave" 🤔

Those dishes look comfy. I gave XDA a shot and was not pleased with its might-as-well-not-be-there scoop. Glad this leans more towards DSA's approach. Also, as a hitbox user, I like the idea of the keys feeling like mini arcade buttons.

It could be 60% at the minimum, and if there was enough demand, other layouts. If I dare to dream, a 40, a 60/65, and/or a modular set you can put together to your liking (separate navigation/num pads). Without bezels they would not take up much real estate on the desk.
There’s a real hole in the market for this aesthetic currently, and I think you’ve nailed it.
I was really, really excited about this when I saw the profile comparison diagrams, but my excitement ended when I saw the renders. This looks great but is not going to feel nice to type on.
Everything about the profile diagram makes it seem like an improvement on existing profiles, which is impressive. You've got the pleasant gentle scoop of DSA, but with greater surface area and a longer skirt for better key coverage. But you also retain some of DSA's typo-resistance by including those slight bevels, which will also prevent the annoyingly sharp edges of OEM and Cherry profiles. So far, so great.
But then when we see the top down view, it becomes clear that this profile was designed for eyes, not fingers. For those people who own 20 keyboards to display on their shelf that's perhaps fine, but I don't think this will feel good to type on. Because of the perfect circle shape, keys to the north and south will be harder to reach, while keys to the east and west will feel abnormally close, and possibly be more typo-prone.
And think about how people use ctrl and shift: they often rest their weakest finger on the edge of the key where it'll naturally creep up towards the corner while their hand stretches to hit more distant keys within the same key combination. With this profile, their finger is more likely than usual to slip off that corner.
The typography looks nice, and I like how the modifier legends are all left/right aligned. It looks elegant. I also like the colored shift and matching secondary legends - that's one of those features that once you see it seems like it should have always been that way. Though I think the black version is less successful - the yellow secondary color just makes the keys look a little dirty in the renders. I think this is caused by the primary white and secondary yellow being too close. Perhaps a sky blue or or sea-green would look nicer?
Also, why no "win" key? "Sys" feels like a placeholder rather than a real key.
Haven't given an update here in a little bit but things are slowly progressing! The first SLK samples were made some weeks ago but Nostril made some small modifications and the manu is working on those right now. If approved, we'll go ahead and order some dye sub samples to work through legend sharpness/positioning, and match the colors. ✌️
How does SLK compare to dsa now with the changes to the profile?
