Is there any chance of doing the new icons you released with this? I know they'd have to be treated as novelties, but perhaps would get both a) molds made for other sets for the future and b) end up with more 40s support?

Unfortunately Maxkey has a bit of a steep fee for new molds, so I won't be able to use my icons for this project. Maybe if I run this in KAT sometime...

maybe a 1.25u enter in 40s? the blanks are fine but a dedicated 1.25u enter would be nice if it's possible

I unfortunately had to make quite a few compromises on 40s kitting to run with Maxkey. 1.25 enter was one of them. However I am planning a follow up project for this set for 40s needs-- but it'll be exclusively 40s, so if you use large boards, you'll wanna grab your stuff from this set.

I went from sad to excited to sad again reading the IC.

I saw no Hiraganas, then saw that people were talking about Hiraganas, but the latest mentioned it will not be happening :(

I thought this would be my first SA set, but I really wish Hiraganas were available, they were so cute and really fitted the japanese origins of the set.

I personally wouldn't have mind a longer wait time if it meant getting Hiraganas.

once more: a follow up project is planned that'll address a lot of the limitations of the SA profile (including hiraganas!)
there's quite a few different issues that led me to decide on Maxkey and it seems to have ben the right choice given the several, several issues and limitations that have been affecting most large manufacturers in the last year. wait times would be really, really crazy if I were to go with Signature Plastics right now, due to them
- Not currently taking new SA sets (citation needed)
- going through a major plastic shortage, pushing back the dates of several sets (primarily SA)
- general base wait time, which excluding these former factors would already be around 8-12mo

hopefully that addresses the problems that we were facing with SP. I will say though that there will be a KAT followup project of Magica (this time having two or three different colorways) with much better compatibility.

I love the colors. Wish this was the other way around which is dark mods and light alphas. I’ll watch how this will progress. Otherwise, I wish this set lots of luck with the development and sale.
