News and picture dump!

Now that the semester is done, I'm finally getting the last couple weeks of pictures off my camera :)  Below are a couple of the orders I've shipped in the last few weeks.
A new round of invoicing is going out as well since I've been working through quite a bit this month.

First a note: updated my first post with some new colours, including a dark grey dye (replacing the old artificial-looking one I had before), turquoise, and dark red.
I also have royal blue stitching now available.

One picture I have to hold off posting is my Secret Santa gift ;)  The recipient will probably take better pictures than me of the final product, though which reminds me...

I'm getting so frustrated with my $20 used potatocam and need to invest in a better camera setup--most of these look so much nicer in person.  I'm currently doing another 60% run for Massdrop that I plan to put towards it--going to be limited and deliver in a couple months though, as I don't want to hold up custom orders.

These look so asdfghjkl beautiful!!! It's like I want to get one even though I don't have a mechanical keyboard, yet. Is that weird for me to want this without even getting my keyboard?

Waiting to receive my Poker II from the most recent MassDrop. Oh man fingers are excited. Going to have to keep an eye or two on the wrist rest.

Not weird.  These things are epic.  I need to commission one or two at some point soon cause they are awesome...

Noko!

Thank you so much for the excellent work - I was a bit skeptical in the beginning if I would use a wrist rest at all and now I wouldn't wanna live without it. Great handiwork!

Thanks and Happy New Year all!   :thumb:

I'm back to work again, a bit later than expected since I've been restoring things after my SSD failed.

If you're reading this now, BACK YER STUFF UP IF YOU HAVEN'T IN A WHILE OKAY.  YOU KNOW IT'S A GOOD IDEA.  IT'S THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW YEAR, WHAT BETTER TIME?

Luckily enough I decided a couple months ago to no longer keep all my leatherworking stuff on my main drive and keep a couple redundant copies.  And I've also concluded I don't think SSDs are worth the drawbacks, catastrophic failure with only a random BSOD earlier in the day to warn me and the expense versus capacity isn't worth the speed.

If you've put in an order form since Christmas I'll be getting back to you either today or tomorrow.

As predicted, too, my Secret Santa recipient took way better pictures than I did of the finished product.  Borrowed this pic from Pointy Fox over in that thread :)  If you've wondered what purple dye looks like, you can see it's really on the darkish bluish side of purples.

Posts to-do: I'd like to make some picture updates for folks with in-progress work, I've got some funky leatherworking tech to show off courtesy of mkawa and Edsyn's awesomeness (yup, leatherworking meets soldering hype is upcoming), and said tech is hopefully to be applied to this project I have been putting off for a while :P

Happy you guys like the fox :)  Too bad I didn't get nice pictures.  Today I set up new photo lighting, I figured it would make the biggest difference rather than jumping first to a new camera, and I think it was a good call!  This went out today.

I plan to order one for my girl friend, is it okay to fill out a custom order form now and have my name on the wait list twice or do i have to wait for you to finish my order to order a second one?

No worries I'll just add the order on to your existing one, just fill in the form with the details and I will make a note of it :)

This week's custom orders!  My new switch tester courtesy of katushkin  :thumb:
I have mentioned before that the grey dye I used to use was a real pain, so I was happy to find this newly-released dark grey waterstain to use as a substitute.  Not only does it have a much more natural look, but it gives the leather a really interesting smooth feel.  In the back is antique-treated oxblood.

Orders for Rey, Papa, and Vibex will be out with Tuesday's pickup.  Vibex: took a while to figure out how to make the purple and beige play nice together.  The Odyssey of Beige is nearly at its end!
sakone54: Don't worry, I got your second order, just haven't had the time to sit down and work through the ideas yet.
Binge: Did Anson tell you about our project?  Cause.. I have an idea for those :)
tyvar1: replied to PM.

JD40 size will be available (hopefully) as of next week--tyvar1 will be the first to get one!

A quick potato of custom orders for next week, all need edge finishing and cleanup first (and this picture is pretty bad for colour balance, the A.G. for example is a bright green not pee coloured :P):

2-2.5 months, I'm trying to get it always below 20 places as a goal, people keep coming up with more and more complex orders though so it's a challenge ;)

She has an amazing gift of turning leather into a work of art that shall last for the rest of your life.  I'm still using mine even under 100F+ temps and it feels so cool and gentle upon my wrists, Noko is indeed the temptress of leather you can not resist her gifts.

Have to get another wrist rest off her but I fear I may have to wait till 2016 for that to happen  :'( .

Just wanted to say that I got my 60% black wrist rest from the MassDrop buy the other day. Beautiful work (as everyone already seems to know) and such an improvement over foam/neoprene with regards to the feel. 10/10 :thumb:

When my wallet is ready I would love to get another one for work wide enough for a TKL and mouse  :D

Quick update!  School stuff including traveling has put me behind, but I am still around, just kinda quiet and a bit slower to reply to stuff.
Last of 60% Massdrop shipped, a bunch of custom orders with carvings on the go, which I'm planning to post a bunch of in progress pictures of sometime this week.  And more picture backlog.

Just wanted to let you know noko that I'm not trying to insult you by not taking any pictures of my new wrist wrest. It's at my home on Long Island, and I havn't gotten a chance to see it yet.. I'll try and get some good pics when I go home for spring break.
