Done all school stuff!
- I still have a couple PMs and emails left to get to, and I hope to have the order list updated by end of today.
- I had to resubmit new plate designs to the metal shop but I have sent in for final quote today (I hack stuff together in Illustrator cause I don't know anything about AutoCAD, so sometimes stuff ends up odd)
- Some people might have missed responses to contact forms due to spam filter issues (thanks Anthony.)  I've changed form behaviour so I hope this fixes things, but always feel free to bug me if you don't receive a response within a few days now that I'm back.

- Starting up a new round of invoicing for those who have been waiting on custom art/design.  Working on sketching and mockups to send out to a number of people waiting for invoices.
- Terrible humidity lately!  I got a dehumidifier on sale, it already seems to be helping a bit.  Thanks again to (someone I forget in this thread) for recommending the idea a long time ago.
- Good news about new designs.  Details have been settled for the metal work and it is now in production, moulds and wood parts also in production for all new sizes.  This includes a complete redesign of the ErgoDox fullhand to sit properly on top of the wrist rest case with clearance for bolts/screws as well as reduced height.  The latter won't quite be available yet, though, as I want to get feedback and make sure the fit is right.
- A conclusion to 2015: A Beige Odyssey as 002's custom order ships!  I thank him for his patience during this (still experimental and unreasonably long) production process.

- And.. a conclusion forthcoming to CPTBadAss' project, which I've made myself a note and booked time to finish within June.. ;)

... we're back :o

So this is a timely reminder that I'm needing to think of a new solution for the order list.  Actually a startup got in touch with me regarding this (the interwebs is always full of surprises!).  For the moment I'm redoing everything in a spreadsheet, so while GH has been down I have not been updating/responding regarding new orders nor invoicing.  Will get to that today and tomorrow.  A backlog of order pics to post too.

BIGGEST NEWS: TKL drop on Massdrop with stitching colour choices (red, blue, white... first week of July theme, I guess!):
Sale

Drop will be financing the dehumidifier, new moulds and clamps, and my summer student :)
There are also a couple sizes up for sale on my site, and the Nokobook cover too.  More on that later.

Hey it looks like Noko's work is finally being reviewed on the Net;

Way to go girl, you are slowly becoming recognized as the one to go to in providing the very BEST in wrist rests.

It translated so well to the simple black outline, I'm really happy with it too.  Thanks again for the order.

As Elrick already mentioned, I got my first hardware review :D  It's a pretty nice compliment when the reviewer immediately puts in a custom order when they've finished their review too, heh.
There's one day left on the drop at Massdrop, if anyone wants to pick up a black TKL.  It's quite close to reaching the discount.

I spent a bunch of my "art time" the last while doing this, and if you haven't seen this thread yet, you should go over now! https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=71569.0
Glad to hear she absolutely loves it.

But did ship some wrist rests too.

Hey, Noko,
Just curious, how is the Ergodox wrist pad design coming up?
I think the last time we mentioned it was the tenting did not go as well as planned, but what about just the wrist pad that can suppose the keyboard?

Curious to know what my options are once massdrop finally starts shipping the new gen of Ergodox.

Thanks.

Ah yeah.. the white is very much the hard part, haha.  Mostly it just takes a loooong time.

I have made some, mostly there's a design for a slim card wallet I like to make.  Friends have been trying to throw money at me lately to make more wallets, and belts, and various other things like a bike-mounted growler carrier (lol) that I'm trying to eventually get to.  So there's a lot of other non-wrist-rest stuff I do like to design and make, I just pretty much have crazy trouble finding the time to work on them, cause so many people are interested in wrist rests.

There's a sale on 2-3oz leather this month, so I might pick some up and experiment.

I finished Prototype v2 and v3 this week actually. v2 I screwed up measurements by half an inch, my shameful error permanently frozen in contact cement, but I'll bring it to the Toronto meetup to show off so people can see it and will take some pictures then.  v3 will be shipping out to the lucky first owner next week :)  I do want to tweak the plate design a bit to ensure that measurement error will no longer be possible, and then I think I can fully call it a production design.

There's a lot stuff that should have pictures taken that I haven't had time to do so yet.  Fullhand Ergo Prototype v1 is done and will be sent to a forum member.  First Atreus under-the-keyboard will be shown off at the Toronto meetup too.

I am talking with MD about their Infinity plans and stuff, I'll let you know how it all goes.

Guys. Just saying. Noko is the best.
Some crappy potato pics:

I was honestly ready to pay double what Noko charged me when I ordered this rest.
When I got the invoice I was shocked to see how generous the price was. I was even more shocked when I realised that number was in CAD.
Such amazing quality and I know that the guys who were at the Toronto meet with me saw just how amazing this thing is.

I told her to recreate something like an ink painting on old canvas and she captured it so well.
The little brand on the back is also really cute. It's so tiny.

Dunno if I'm supposed to advertise this now but I received my notebook cover today. Thanks for sticking with it Noko and making my idea a reality. It's really nice....REALLY nice. The leather is so soft and I love how it looks.

Currently for sale here: http://store.noko.ca/products/nokobook-cover-a5

Noko mentioned to me there might be something else that will happen with the notebooks but I'm not sure. I"ll leave that announcement for those who know better.

Thanks again!

Frosty is a cool dude IRL except that he has this thing for Topre, and enabled me to try Topre for the first time, and it was really bad.  (apparently dfj is instructing me in trolling).
Happy you like it, the meetup was a great time :D

There are also a couple sizes up for sale on my site, and the Nokobook cover too.  More on that later.

Sweet it looks great with your notebook :) I tried tying the knots 3 times and each one it wanted to fold backwards.  So that's the way it wanted to be.
The leather is perfect on its own so I didn't treat it with anything except a little edge polishing.  I'm really looking forward to seeing how it wears.

Yeah--I have to take pics of the GH version, pretty much that's it, just so busy :)
I'll be publicizing around more later like in the pens thread, but I have around 10 of these (not as fancy as CPT's though, that's an original) that will be emblazoned with a tasteful Geekhack emblem if you so wish.

They're up for sale for the cost of leather price plus $15 donation to Geekhack per book ($45 per book plus shipping in total).

It's going to house my travel setup (1 notebook for projects, 1 notebook for personal) so it's going to get lots of wear and tear. I'm excited to see what it looks like too!

Thanks again Noko!!

Hey guys I just wanna chime in and say that Noko's wrist rests are freaking high class!!  :thumb:
Unfortunately I do not have a camera that is worthy of taking a picture of the wrist rest I just received but I promise you that it is seriously better than I expected, which is saying A LOT because I expected superb quality.
Great stuff!! Thank you for your hard work Noko, I'm about to order another one also for my GF, she's in love LoL   :D
What is love.... Baby don't hurt me... No more!!

How dare you insult topre!
I hear that you don't even like bubble tea. Your opinions are invalid.
The meet was a great time though, apart from the heresy.

I think it's right thread to ask my question. Using Noko's wrist rest for 3 months now, feels and looks as amazing as on first day, but i wonder if here anyone who intence uses them for year+? How does leather aged? How it looks now? Would really like to see some photos of such rests.

I know) There is enough info in FAQ on Noko's page, but I'm don't asking about leather care. What I mean, that some leather products (bags for example) are looking even better after years of usage. So I wonder if somebody here have 'old' wrist rest to show.
