as far as I know it won't... but I hear of people getting like the 9800 gpus and running it just fine (with a strong cpu)

You'll be fine!  CSGO is source, it will be more CPU heavy than GPU

had fun this evening playing some games, though my accuracy and aim needs so much work, also i think i need to work on how I use and hold the mouse... so used to RTS where you can pick up and move the mouse, can't do that so well in an FPS

2. Learn it isn't TF2 and don't go charging in headfirst with a shotgun at everyone

Have to say, getting used to the new weapons is a bigger deal for me than the new maps... going from CSS (and having not played CSS in like 3-4 years) to this with shotguns and weird smgs and pistols etc is super confusing.. plus all the old guns seem to have new names or new skins...
