Hello All
« on: Sat, 02 May 2015, 17:43:51 »
I have been reading through this forum for about a year now and felt I should start to participate since I spend so much time reading these boards. I look forward to filling my recently cleaned out extra closet. ;D

Welcome to Geekhack!

There are a few reviews of the CODE keyboard:

From what I've heard they are excellent keyboards, although some of the earlier models suffered from pinging.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Welcome to GH! I've heard the construction of WASD boards are not the best but they have the simple shape and LEDs. If you want something more study/solid without the LEDs pick up a KUL-ES87(I can vouch I'm typing on one now) or a Filco. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up! Good luck! :D

Thanks LXXXIX I just ordered a KUL-ES87  ;D it was 30 cheaper than the WASD and will have free same day delivery, thanks Amazon. I will miss my backlighting but typing in the dark probably isn't that good for me anyways so I'm sure I will get over it pretty quick and from what I read about it I can also use it as a home defense weapon if I cant get to a gun in time.  So WINNING!
