Ergodox TRRS sockets
« on: Sun, 16 December 2018, 12:36:02 »
Hello all,

I am trying to get the components for my first ergodox built and I was searching for TRRS sockets. I know that ergodox is compatible with the models CP-43514 and  FC68129 of TRRS sockets but I cannot find a distributor that has a reasonable price for them.

I found these sockets on aliexpress:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-Phone-Jack-3-5mm-7-Pin-Stereo-Audio-socket-for-4-poles-Audio-plug-Through/32811541166.html?spm=a2g0s.13010208.99999999.321.79cd3c00CLHW0A

I tried to compare them with the 43514 using it's datasheet:
https://www.cui.com/product/resource/sj-4351x.pdf

The pins seem to be in the right position but the one thing that I don't know is that what is the meaning of the symbols ^ and ⌄ in the datasheet. I am asking this because the pin 4 of the 43514 has the symbol ⌄ and the equivalent pin in the Chinese version (which is pin 3 ) has the symbol ^. If you know what is the meaning of these symbols and if they will affect the functionality I will appreciate it if you can share with us!

I think that doesn't means anything, just a shape to represent the contacts.
