GMK Carbon question; need 1.5 backspace
« on: Wed, 09 January 2019, 10:24:20 »
Just signed up today, hello everyone!

I'm building my first keyboard, KBD19x, and acquired a GMK Carbon set off of /r/mechmarket to use with it.  It's an R1 release.  I'm doing a split backspace layout and need a 1.5 backspace key; R1 doesn't have one.  Anyone know where I can acquire one?

Alternatively, I was also looking at possibly mixing in GMK Skidolcha as it has a 1.5 backspace.  Anyone know if these colors are a match with Carbon?  I found the GMK Database thread here: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=79535.0 but it doesn't list Skidolcha.

I'd prefer a GMK Carbon 1.5 backspace if I can find one.

Thanks!

maybe you can buy one off of a R2 set since they aren't that commonly used :)
Very busy with studies atm.

If someone has one, and is willing to sell it, I'd definitely be interesting in buying it from them.

He responded, but basically said try to find someone who is willing to sell one; which will probably be difficult as most want to keep sets together.

Anyone have one they want to sell?  If not I'm looking for a GMK Carbon R2 Set.

Also, anyone know if GMK Skidolcha will match the color scheme?  I found a used set for reasonable; can't really tell if it matches colors.

Thanks

I found a decent deal on a GMK Skidolcha set; will let everyone know if they're a match.  Just in case anyone else needs to know in the future.
