Any idea why my left control (which is on capslock, HHKB layout) continually blinks?

It flashes to indicate the layer you're on.

(I think)

How do I get the capslock to stop blinking?

Go to http://duck0113.tistory.com/84

Scroll down to instructions section which is quite readable using google translate in chrome.

Go to section 2 part 4 (Called: "Layer the status indicator (LED) display method change" if using google translate)

Follow instructions.

Hope it helps ;)

edit: I think the mode you want is called LLN.

Thanks! Still took me a bit since I couldn't find the c/m key -_-

^ I had same thing

I mapped the c/m key to my layout but I can't figure which setting turns it off :(

edit: I am an idiot. You have to type out the command.

Gist of the .hex for hhkb layout in case you're having issues with O2D.

Elton is very busy at the moment with the Orion V2 GB and afterwards probably another Lightsaver round. So I'd guess even if there is enough demand the group buy still wont start before Q4 2015

An even better question is when should we expect that V2 Viper/Eagle to be released.  :p

The main thing that turned me off from the original Viper GB is the keyboard angle.

I'd hope a new version can have the acrylic part to have a reduced typing angle.

I ultimately decided to stay out of the Orion V2 GB in anticipation of either a rerun or a V2 of the Viper (ideally with a reduced angle). Given the timeframe that was mentioned here, I might have second thoughts on that decision. Otoh, my wallet will be happier for it ;).

Definitely getting a viper next time around if it happens. Almost bought in last time, but money was an issue. Such an awesome looking board.

I'm going to try to get a blue/grey Eagle if there is a R2 (depending on what the case looks like if they change it).

I think you can do that with a GON pcb.

Interesting idea never though of it.
Would have to look at the construction of the viper case to see if it fits.

It doesn't, at least the Nerd60 does not; because, it does not have the cuts at its corners; however, you could get one of the Sprit's cases that can hold a rectangular PCB but has overlapped covers for the corners; by the way, Sprit's PCB also support the HHKB layout and ISO, but again, with no cut outs.

+2 for Viper with 7° acrylic bottom!  :thumb:

Edit: Not sure if it would require a redesign of the case as it seems to be a single piece design atm.

On the other hand a two piece case could also include a proper plate mount. (with the plate mounted to the case, instead of the pcb mounted to the case and the plate floating free on the switches poker style)

To me a real plate mount seems like a much cleaner solution, and I always feel like the free floating poker plates tend to have a bell like effect. (So I honestly don't think of poker as plate mount, to me poker is a pcb mount + plate support pretty much, considering you could even assemble without plate)

Depends on how it was programmed.  If you visit duck0113.tistory.com and grab the O2D mapper, you'll be able to write whatever layout you want.

If you run into problems, post back here and we'll help.

For those with experience in the duck Viper. How do I reprogram the keyboard?

I followed the instructions, installed the Atmel driver, downloaded flip and got Flip to recognize the keyboard.

My only problem is that I can't create the hex files through the custom keymapper.

When I make my layout and click save I get a constant invalid filepath error.

Not sure is this the same problem with my butterfly in the past.  But try to rename the file first before saving.  The default file name doesn't work for my butterfly, so this may be the same problem.

Just bought a Eagle from some user and /r/mech and this is a nice keyboard! Heavy as well :D

I had to desolder each switch to add sip sockets and fix the stabs since they were a bit wonky. The leds are currently green and I will be changing them once I receive the new leds in the mail.
Now my question is how do I customize the layout? I don't even know where the FN key is. Also anyone know where to get some new SMD leds I don't like the red ones that are already soldered to the keyboard.

The switches are 62g clears and space bar is a black gateron.

I love everything about this board except the key mapping software.

I keep hoping someone will add TMK support for it but no luck.

I'm wondering if there are any other PCB's that might fit this case (like Gon 60%).
Something that is already TMK supported.

That or get un lazy and work on the TMK support my self. (I have no idea how to figure out the matrix though)

I feel the same way.

I mapped the matrix using my multimeter and I have a fork of tmk building but I get nothing from the board.

I haven't had time to finish.
