this is a slight stretch but is there a chance for a kit with just 1us in different rows with randomly colored dots

how many extra keycaps do you would like to see?

+1 especially R1

Or at least 3-4 R1s more in base ( mayebe the yellow, blue and orange from R2)

That'd be cool. 2-3 different colors per row would be nice.

Would be nice if the backspace and delete keys got a red bar/circle, given how that is commonly associated with destructive actions.

No chance of a second R3 1.25u key in one of the kits? Perhaps in green?

The more requests I read about in this thread for this or that Rn 1.nnU key, the more I think those "single color kits" I suggested are the best answer to all of them (IMHO, YMMV, WDIKAA).

If we go with greyish dots alphas, those who are looking into a little more contrast can have additional white dots alphas.

Perhaps like the attached examples below. I'm not sure how much these will impact the kit pricing though.

LOL I feel OP is like "can this guy stop giving them ideas" - Sorry @biip ;D

Now that you mention it, we could go with grayish dot alphas and have F and J (and numpad 5) sport white dots. :thumb:

Hey, how about dots with four colors and never mind, nothing to see here. Move along.

I tried but somehow i think 4 white dots in the home row looks better. Users can then choose between using 2 or 4 white dots. Shouldn't be too hard as it requires only 4 more additional keys BUT again I'm not a GMK expert.

Anw yeah all in all it goes back to OP & the supporters here.

2-3 *5 keycaps then. I would need to get a quote from GMK with those.

I like the fact that people are giving up ideas and try to improve the design of the set :thumb: However, I already made my decision and will keep the alphas white (or light gray, will have to check on my GMK colors ring) because I want the set to have contrast and distinctive alphas and modifiers ;)

I think this is bad for any IC. I am wondering how it will turn out for GMK Hammerhead when topic starter is giving in to these type of requests. Can't be good to split up small kits into variants.

Appreciate sticking to your guns on this. There were some good ideas on this thread, but I felt like the original concept that drew people's attention was great to begin with.

UT47 (and .2), Tanuki, Dimple, MA42, just from memory. The first two have just ran successful GBs, Dimple is going for sale very soon.

it'd just like to clarify. i love the set as is all i want is some sort of novelty pack where i can have different 1u colored dots totally up to you biip.

2-3 per row would be fine the base kit already has some just another r3 might be passable

I had an idea for a novelties pack but had to throw it away due to copyright issues. I'll probably make an extra dots pack then :thumb:

If it was Pac-Man, it might be worth contacting Bandai Namco Games about licensing.  That'd be really cool.  I'm still disappointed the Pac-Man novelties got dropped from GMK Laser.

What's the idea behind all the extra R3 1u keys? I'd understand if they'd be colored.

Also, will the kit include homing keys?

Another example based on the 65% keyboard render, with white ESC dot & some colors on the |\, tab & caps :)

This, IIRC, is a slightly lighter grey compared to the previous example I posted earlier.

This looks great! good job :thumb: hope biip change to this light grey instead of the bright white

I would love it if you added a 1.25u R3 key into the base kit. That's the only key needed for most 40s boards (especially when you have a set like this with no legends anyway).

Perhaps the "single color kits" I suggested earlier in the thread would be ideal for this. Instead of only twelve 1U keys, they could also come with four 1.25U keys (one per row) and four 1.5U keys (ditto).

I would vote for this

Hey guys, so I'm new to this whole thing but definitely do not want to miss out on these!

What do I need to keep an eye out for? Will this be dropped through a group buy via the resellers listed in the OP eventually? How best to get in on that quickly? Check this thread or should we follow the creator on Twitter or whatever?

Thanks a lot guys!

The set will be on sale via the listed proxies on the planned date (July 1st) and will last for one month. You can check this thread for when the group buy is open, and/or be on the lookout in the Group Buy section of the forum for the new thread. The new thread is where the discussion will take place when the group buy is active and when it is over.
