CNC phase is almost finished, just a bit more with the plate.
I produced 11/11 case Owl. We have 7 buyers and one set for me. So we have 3 left over sets.

If someone wants to join then please contact me by email: woojina1993@gmail.com

Are the cases supposed to be so rough after CNC? Sorry, am new to this.

The three at the top look like they're complete, though it's still hard to tell what state they're in from the photo. The bottom ones can't be the end result, they look rough as ****.

The proto had pretty visible marks from the anno; but I just put that down to being the proto.

Anodizing is the technology, but before entering the anodizing segment. We need to treat the surface. After finishing cnc I will try to assemble to make sure they have no technical error. Then it will be worn to polish the mirror, and then the sand blast. The last one is anodizing.

Segments such as mirrors / sand blast usually make it fast and closed. so almost no one mentioned.

And how specific the technique of each stage, it can be considered the secret of each production unit. So, people should only care about the end result.

I mean, cnc is just a shaping step. Apart from accurate, we do not need anything else. All issues on the surface will be processed in the following phases.

About 4 weeks, I'm still trying to keep the deadline. The problem with paypal is that the GB is delayed by 3 weeks.

thanks for the update. I imagine this to be very portable since it has no weight. are there any chance to do custom anodized colors?

hmm, the polishing seems a bit confusing. I had to ask them to switch to polish by hand.
But luckily the numbers are quite small, so it does not affect deadlines too much.

Thank you for your patience.

Sorry guys, I forgot to take that as I have you here. haha
btw, I've been doing some other projects and forgot to update you.

Now is the important part:
1. The anodizing workshop told me it was "done" but they have not shipped back to me yet.
2. Plate brass recently completed the rough ... This weekend I will direct bearing away to polish pile plate and antioxidant coating.
3. Because the anodizing workshop is a bit far, so I can not go directly to get the goods.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Yeah, I mean I was hoping not to have to say it like this, but the whole thing has been super suss from the get go. I understand that this is Qui's first GB which he was clear about in the OP; this being my first GB outside of Massdrop though has left me feeling pretty sour about the whole thing. Honestly, this whole experience has been pretty f****** woeful.

From Qui's "10 week roadmap" we're now in week 14 with no indication of whether or not the boards even exist outside of a single photo from when they were being CNC'd. We've been told for awhile now that he has the PCB's but hasn't been able to give updates on them or show photos of them. He has been prone to straight up disappearing for long periods; including completely ghosting for several weeks after starting the GB (If you knew you were going on this trip, why did you not start the GB after returning?) - I'm all for waiting as long as it takes for the board to be perfected before delivery, but I'd also like some kind of sign that things are actually progressing.

Honestly, in the nicest way possible, even if this GB is successful Qui I would strongly consider not running further buys in the future. This isn't a jab at you or me trying to be pessimistic in the slightest, but I genuinely feel you don't have the capacity to run a GB. If your buyers are going to hand over as much money as you've been given to deliver something, the least you can do is provide prompt updates when they're requested (Especially when you yourself are posting things like "If you have any questions please feel free to ask." and then again just vanishing for a week with no answer...).

Can agree
