amber LEDs? not sure I've ever seen them. are they tinted yellow-ish? do you have them on one of your boards you can show me. that sounds cool.

I can attest to this.  In the last month I sent a 10 pound plate to a fellow GH member for some leather work as a base for my panavise that I use for keyboard stuffs.  That was $50 in shipping alone to send the plate to her on top of the leather work.  Plus I am mere weeks away from purchasing a brand new benchtop vertical mill to make various keyboard parts and custom tools/desktop trinkets.  This is on top of the various cap group buys and random vintage keyboards I have sourced.

wow. that's great! I'm actually a designer of sorts, and was thinking about making some high quality custom leather cases. I've got some nice hide laying around..

if there's any interest, I'd probably throw it up on my shop.

Interesting.  Noko is our other fellow leather worker here.  She has a thread in the artisan services thread.  My piece is a page or two from the end.

She does some amazing work! bookmarked, as I'll probably be asking for input later haha. I don't think I will be producing at that level of customization, but I definitely have access to some quality materials that I can design & craft some nice one off bags or something.

haha I wish i did if i ever were to build a cherry i'd want something VERY similar to what you have with lights like these:

when i was younger and up until now,  I've admired BMW's (m3s in particular) instrument panel, simple yet very elegant display of design
80565-1source:http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94000

this spiraled into me wanting amber lights to lite up my keyboard...
at night i think it just looks right its like f.lux for your keyboard lol ~imho

Welcome to Geekhack!

Not DSA shifts?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

stock double shots. I don't mind the DCS. Goes quite well with the grey & they feel too spectacular to pass up.
I don't care for the ugly typeface on them though.
