Dec. 2014 wow! Welcome :)
So what keyboard did you wind up with?
Variable weight Topre 87? Hi-pro?
Some people buy a NovaTouch to harvest those cherry mx sliders ;) I'm curious if others have been successful with the cheaper topre clone boards from noppoo or royal kludge. I have no idea how to open up a topre switch unfortunately.Variable weight Topre 87? Hi-pro?
One variable 87 at work, and one hi-pro 104 at home :). I really began to like them. Although cherry just have so many awesome things you can do

Any particular reason for the long break?
What happened to your Blackwidow?

What happened to your Blackwidow?
Mostly was waiting on parts to assemble them and try out different cherry switches hands-on.
I think the blackwidow is a joy as the first mechanical keyboard for any one really, I loved mine a lot.
After using it for a year or so, I found it to be tiring when you type lots of stuff really fast. Sometimes getting frustrated that it's not so "energy-efficient", but this is why its unique. Mx blue is just one of the kind that anyone has to try out. Also, cleaning blackwidow is a ***** and it gets dirty pretty dem fast. So I passed on to its next owner.
