This would be more like a new season of a pandemic show lol.

Also makes me think that my decision to stop eating meat was a much better one than I thought healthwise.

Tp4 can only say that there is every reason to go 100% veggie. Every dimension of human existence is improved, and our specie's survival is dependent on this leap in adaptation.

For last 15 years I've been mastering sushi but still feel like I need some Japanese person to teach me how to cook perfect sushi rice...
Maybe I should invest in rice cooker?

Rice cooker has been a god send for me, just so much more convenient and the rice tastes great. I heard that zojirushi brand is really good but I just have a cheap one.

Keyboards / Re: How hard do you all type?
« Last post by Rhienfo on Thu, 16 May 2024, 06:16:46 »
This is going to sound strange, but it depends on background noise. The noisier the space is, the easier it is for me to type harder without noticing it. Headbanging with headphones on almost always means button mashing.

That said, I find that I type lighter after using linear switches for a while, even at equivalent spring weight. Something about tactile switches makes me wanna mash.

oh to add to this, I think it's that tactile switches, even the lighter ones force you to complete the actuation of the tactility when you activate it, so that may encourage you to continue going further and bottoming out, especially for high bump tactiles I can see how that would affect how hard you type.

Keyboard Keycaps / Re: Recommend a Keycap Set
« Last post by Rhienfo on Thu, 16 May 2024, 02:41:52 »
What kinds of profiles do you like? Do you want a second hand, vintage set that may be more unique? What color palettes are you looking for? What boards will they go with? Do you need RGB shine through keycaps?

That being said, my vote is always for a Signature Plastics SA profile keycap in whatever theme fits the board.

Yeah this question requires a lot more detail for a good answer. But in general if you are starting out I wouldn't reccomend SA because it's more an aquired taste, and for a lot of people it's too high up. I would recommend buying cherry keycaps. JC studio/leekbrothers if you are on a small budget (leekbrothers is the taobao name) and if you have more of a budget a lot of vendors have gmk instock often at discounts if you want to pick them up (Just pick good vendors, in the U.S novelkeys or cannonkeys, in the EU oblotzky is amazing for some reccomendations)

If you do like SA then absolutely go with signature plastics, the quality is very good.

Keyboards / Re: Similar to the Kangaroo, but cheaper?

I forgot the Max part. Q12 Max is the wireless version. I thought they were out of the blue version, but apparently only the wired keyboard comes in blue. I might be stuck getting that. I didn't realize the southpaw layout was so sparse.

yeah it's just a pretty niche layout that not too many people want.

Another idea could be to get a tkl and a numpad and just put it on the left, would give you some more options as well.

I actually really like idea of side buttons. I see a lot of keyboards with macro/reprogrammable columns k. The outside, but moving them to the actual side of the case would be a very neat aesthetic IMO. Mind if I steal this?

I don't think I could ever do it myself lol so it's fine.

Besides, when it comes to personal projects (or for me any project) It shouldn't matter if you take ideas, it's a communal hobby. It's also not stealing them too.
