Your pictures always look like you are in some kind of space ship at some kind of terminal. Such nice lighting!

Wow, did it hack your wallet good?
No rust? I got mine from phosphorglow, and compared to my model M it feels a lot better since I just discovered the springs on my model M is rusty

Now I know the true feel of buckling, but heard model F is a lot better

I have the vector artwork if you want it.

The wood I used was leftover from some baseboards. Laser etching curved material doesn't work very well so they were more proofs of concept. I want to make custom wrist wrests but I need access to a table saw. It's a shame not having one.

I dunno, I really like the look of those versus the really proper wrist-rests. but I also like using stuff like reclaimed wood for flooring and stuff, it just has a really cool feel.

I like the sloped design but the issue is the ergonomics are a bit off. I think it needs to be longer and flatter to be more comfortable. Reclaimed wood flooring looks fantastic.

It did hack my wallet a decent amount but I'll live... I'm loving this thing so much.

No rust. It's brand new from what I can tell. Every switch is absolutely clicky crisp, including the spacebar! The spacebar on my Model M was pretty mushy. Sooo happy. Now I just need the same blue Wrapped you have HUEHUE.

The only other communist themed keycap that I know of that I'm missing is the yellow on red star. I wonder if there's anymore that I should be looking out for to expand my collection.

Actually, not really. Since my shower is pretty contained, a rug at the door pretty much keeps all the water off the floor luckily.

Haha. Not a whole lot. I have a number of random bits that I've picked over the years. My mother used to take me to antique shops when I was a kid and I was fascinated by old pieces of technology that lined the shelves. Ended up with a few things.

I wonder what's cheaper, antique shops or Ebay. The only problem is a lot of the older cameras is that there's no way to make use of them. I think I have six antique cameras. I believe I've only been able to find film for two and they're both rather expensive if I remember correctly. Mechanical keyboards has proven to be a enjoyable hobby. I just need those beautiful looking keys!

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Found something very "vintage" to go with the board.

I think it's worthwhile, at least for cameras. A friend of mine built a dark room and did a lot of black and white photography. Very enjoyable. It's so much easier with a digital camera though. I miss my Nikon DSLR...

I like the orange glow in this one, when the rest looks monochrome ...

Decided to play around with a few settings tonight and also learnt that it sucks taking pictures of keyboards at night without decent lighting stuff.

Right?! Seriously some awesome photos by Moralless!!! You're getting better every time you post~ <3

Ngt, I'd say the most important factors are under any lighting is~ a tripod, setting an appropriate ISO, manual focusing, and a macro lens~

Thanks for your answer Vesper. Yeah I figured out that the tripod is a must-have especially when you need to make long exposure. Do you know what would be a price for a decent tripod? Is the macro lens mandatory? I have a 18-55mm lens. it is pretty much the stock one with my Canon 450D.

Ummm, if my memory serves me correct, you can get a decent tripod for about $60ish. You really have to do your research on these because the pricing is all over the place~ Crappy tripods going for too much everywhere~ They are constructed out of metal, so the prices can get pretty ridiculous. I'm using a crappy one that came with my camera, but if I were to spend money on one, I would buy a decent one.

A macro lens can make a HUGE difference~ However, I think your first priority is a tripod and figuring out your camera settings. After you've got some experience and know what you're doing, then you can decide if you want to make or need the macro lens :)

Please doooo~~~ I'd love to see those vintage stuff in all its glory~

A lens extender is also a nice, cheaper substitute (mine was like $150 IIRC)
