I'll be that guy. I found it kind of awkward to listen to Tym reading the blog. Not that I don't enjoy Tym's accent or appreciate his effort. It's more like...it loses something...kind of like when I watch the LOTR movies and I'm mad that it's not how I imagined things in my head. I think it's fun to conjure Sent's tone in my head while I read the blog.

well in that case, why not just read the blog and conjure sents tone in your head

tym does what he does as a bit of a joke with the audio thing, and people enjoy it, however it is a written blog and for the most part, should be consumed as such

Not a complaint, just a thought. I stopped listening a few minutes in :). Don't get it wrong, I'm enjoying these a lot. Just saying.

One thing I would like to ask for in regards to the blog, is an option (or something) to switch the text colour and background colour so that the back ground is white and the text is black, as light text on a black background properly messes with my eyes lol

I'll bring this up with Cody and see if we can code something in.  It'll go on the list. :thumb:

Me either!

I'm still only half way through the last one of these
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I am glad you guys enjoyed my questions! The sound of surprise when Sent read them was hilarious in itself.

Congrats BunnyLake on the mini Bunny! Can Geekhack get naming rights or does that fall to your wife?

Also I realized Sent and I would have tons to talk about. Asian closet nerd? I can totally relate. Just not with the car stuff  :p

When you do eventually come to the West Coast Bunny, definitely make it out to the monthly meet ups. Haata has done an exceptional job of getting them together.

Thanks guys this was great!  :thumb:

That was pretty awesome guys, thanks for taking the time to do that!

Here's some things i want to mention in no particular order.
Congratulations bunny!!! I'm happy for you, let us know if it's a boy or a girl!
Mulan is the ****, "let's get down to business"  man!

It's 100% Toh-pre, nothing else, i don't care lol
My reason/why
More
Surprised you actually want to see my reasoning...well it's more of an explanation which is actually really simple.
So Topre is a Japanese company so it's pronounced the Japanese way.
Topre in Japanese is 東プレ or トプレ in Katakana or とぷれ in Hiragana (if you're curious 東 is the kanji for east or 'higashi' also the same To for Tokyo)
ト is pronounced Toh, like Tokyo (東京)
プ is pronounced puu, not like poo or maybe but cut short and not extended out.
レ is pronounced re, sound is in between re and le, like a rolled R.

so....yeah.....

I'm still really enjoying these blog post / podcasts. Very much worth the listen. :thumb:
I thought it was interesting that Bro is a Tool fan and gets inspiration from their claymation videos.
I think we should also have a Sent's forensic hour, I've got a feeling you have plenty of stories.
Congrats Bunny!

As a dyslexic I read it as Torpe, so I was hella confused hearing this podcast at first lol

I liked this one, thanks for all getting together to create it! The mic quality was better too!  :thumb:
Congrats bunny! I am sure you will be a great father! Also, it is cool to hear that Margo also bikes!
I gotta go with Toe-prey as the proper pronunciation!  8)

Overall, great post! Can't wait until next Monday Sent!

Edit: Also bunny, I forgot to ask, what is your audio and vinyl setup?

Just say Thorpe.
