Is there going to be any compatibility with R1 TMOs? I could go for a PC or e-white case to swap out on my current one...

No, TMO50 & TMOv2 isn't compatible in any way. Size, case design and PCB are all different.

Would PC version include a brass weight? I think I'd like a board without it so I can put a nice sticker back there.

If PC comes with a weight, I'll just go aluminum.

All boards come with a brass weight, yes. I will share plate as well weight DXF files when GB launches. It's a flat 3mm brass plate with countersunk screw holes so pretty much you can easily make from other materials if you'd choose to go that route.

I've been trying to post any relevant information in the Updates and FAQ post here so please check up on it from time to time. I'll try and post a new message for any big updates once that's important.

No, TMO50 & TMOv2 isn't compatible in any way. Size, case design and PCB are all different.

That's a shame! Has there been a design change to allow PC cases to be produced without warping this time around? I thought I remembered it wasn't possible last to get them straight and that's why only PC bottoms were offered.

Yes, that was priority #1 for the V2 design. On our prototype unit there's no issue with warping.

Haha, I actually thought about doing a "Ruby Red" aluminium prototype just as the one that'll be available in the GB but when I heard there's a coloured PC option I knew that it'll be beautiful & special!

Thank you! Then TMOv2 is just right for you! As a CS student I too wanted something that wouldn't compromise on punctuation too much and this is just the right setup for a slightly quirky (in a cute way) keyboard without limiting software developers.

UPDATE:
I've seen some people from Asia asking about a proxy and I'm currently working on it! I'm still gathering some statistics for the demand so if you're from Asia or Oceania please fill out this form!

Are there any other cases that uses Smokey PC? Says in the description that it will be darker than the render, but would be nice to know how dark exactly. I like the idea for darker themed keycaps, but difficult to say without knowing how it looks for sure :/

So November is just around the corner and here is the GB announcement everyone's been waiting!

GB going live on November 2nd!
GB thread going 1 week prior the sale with detailed pricing of everything!



Vendors:
  • CannonKeys - 100 units in FCFS (65 aluminium / 35 polycarbonate base kits)
  • MyKeyboard.EU - 30 units in FCFS (20 aluminium / 10 polycarbonate base kits)

Pricing:
  • Ballpark pricing for base kit is ~$300-$350
  • For Europeans that would be around €350-ish

Detailed information about pricing on base kits, extras and everything in-between will be in the GB thread!

No vendors in Asia or Oceania for this round. Sorry for any inconvenience but this round already is a pretty big one!
