omg yaaaas so glad more of this board are being produced!

Is there going to be any compatibility with R1 TMOs? I could go for a PC or e-white case to swap out on my current one...

I really prefer the v1 variant that had the shorter 0.5u width. That small amount made that highly admired extra compact fit that comes in par with a regular 60%. Keycaps were very approachable with most gmk 40s kit. The most reluctant key was an R3 1.25 ctrl. Moulds for it exist but not enough usage/demand, a few gmk kits had it, but that was the only tiny thing about it that's tedious.

The four LEDs were also a nice touch for the v1, it's a neat detail similar to the C70. If you make a v3, I'd really love to see those two details added back.
Are there any thoughts on releasing a handful of units in v1 alongside this IC or as a separate?

I get you but this is the design decision I took. Sorry. :D Unfortunately V1 won't be run during V2 GB as that seems a bit wrong.

No, TMO50 & TMOv2 isn't compatible in any way. Size, case design and PCB are all different.

Would PC version include a brass weight? I think I'd like a board without it so I can put a nice sticker back there.

If PC comes with a weight, I'll just go aluminum.

All boards come with a brass weight, yes. I will share plate as well weight DXF files when GB launches. It's a flat 3mm brass plate with countersunk screw holes so pretty much you can easily make from other materials if you'd choose to go that route.

ALSO
I've been trying to post any relevant information in the Updates and FAQ post here so please check up on it from time to time. I'll try and post a new message for any big updates once that's important.

Yes it does come with weight, or else it would be super light

That's a shame! Has there been a design change to allow PC cases to be produced without warping this time around? I thought I remembered it wasn't possible last to get them straight and that's why only PC bottoms were offered.

Yes, that was priority #1 for the V2 design. On our prototype unit there's no issue with warping.

Thank you to whoever posted an image of a render in a discord.  Otherwise I would have been still checking in on the old thread everyday finding absolutely no mention of a new TMO.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Hey guys!

So if someone followed up on the Updates post they would know there's been prototypes made!
Here's some photos of those beauties! Also I must warn you that even though they look :fire: these are prototypes and won't be available in the group buy. Sorry!

GB samples will be made once GB starts!

This is a sexy 50%, and doesn't sacrifice the [];' keys I use for programming. I'm going to try and set some money aside for this, and hope I get in.

That shade of blue; is that for the prototypes only?

It looks fantastic; it'd go well with grey, black, white keysets... a very versatile choice!

Haha, I actually thought about doing a "Ruby Red" aluminium prototype just as the one that'll be available in the GB but when I heard there's a coloured PC option I knew that it'll be beautiful & special!

Thank you! Then TMOv2 is just right for you! As a CS student I too wanted something that wouldn't compromise on punctuation too much and this is just the right setup for a slightly quirky (in a cute way) keyboard without limiting software developers.

UPDATE:
I've seen some people from Asia asking about a proxy and I'm currently working on it! I'm still gathering some statistics for the demand so if you're from Asia or Oceania please fill out this form!

Well..if you decide to part ways with that one, it would definitely be an instabuy for me...I wouldn’t be able to throw my money at the screen fast or hard enough  ;D

Just filled out a form, thank you for considering an Asia/Oceania proxy!
Definitely interested in purchasing a TMO, especially since missing out on the first run.

Are GB spots going to be raffled? Or is it just first come, first serve?

I am interested in this board, but I am getting the feeling that this will be damn near impossible to get into  :(

If the Oceania proxy gets the go ahead, would we get our own set of units or would we be taking some of the other regions units?

Are there any other cases that uses Smokey PC? Says in the description that it will be darker than the render, but would be nice to know how dark exactly. I like the idea for darker themed keycaps, but difficult to say without knowing how it looks for sure :/

So November is just around the corner and here is the GB announcement everyone's been waiting!

GB going live on November 2nd!
GB thread going 1 week prior the sale with detailed pricing of everything!

Vendors:
  • CannonKeys - 100 units in FCFS (65 aluminium / 35 polycarbonate base kits)
  • MyKeyboard.EU - 30 units in FCFS (20 aluminium / 10 polycarbonate base kits)

Pricing:
  • Ballpark pricing for base kit is ~$300-$350
  • For Europeans that would be around €350-ish

Detailed information about pricing on base kits, extras and everything in-between will be in the GB thread!

No vendors in Asia or Oceania for this round. Sorry for any inconvenience but this round already is a pretty big one!
