Decided to take the Oberhofer out of storage recently-- still works quite well, as you can see! The occasional random failure here is entirely my fault, and not to be attributed to the input device in use.

So, for comparison, here's the Model M vs a slightly earlier level. It's not in the greatest shape-- was absolutely filthy when I got it, and then never felt quite right after the extensive cleaning required to sanitize it-- but it does all right and can still give you your daily fix of buckling spring sounds.
