Ordered these wheels in that color yesterday for the Wife's Sportwagen.
Also a set of H&R springs, doing the install on the weekend of the 18th, alignment and tire mounting on the 20th. Re-using the factory tires, then will go wider than 225 when they are worn out. I'll post some porn of it when I'm all done.

18X8.5 ET45, that is flush on the Golfs.

Will be going on

So this dude we met at a meet blew his engine on a 3 month old FiST.

First known blown engine in the U.S.. Now his mistake is taking it to the dealer without removing the mods he did first.

Ford voided all his warranties and blacklisted his VIN.

That is a surprisingly simple dash.

I hate when cars look like space ships with so many damn buttons. Forgot if it as Honda or toyota's minivan that are like that

Mine? yea it is simple, I like it though.

Even though the car is a 2014 it was initially released in 2008 with only very minor changes year to year. It's age is definitely reflected in its interior, which is pretty substandard for the price point.  It was only in 2014 and 2015 that they put the bigger head unit in the non-navigation models. With that volume knob on the right hand side cuz its so JDM yo~. I'll probably pull the trigger on a CarPlay head unit next year, especially if it will work with Escort Live.

The navigation trim line also has sunroof and leather. Mitsubishi leather is pretty meh as you would expect and the car is heavy enough without a sunroof, more weight (especially up high) is the last thing I wanted.

Like Mat Farah said, with Evolutions you pay 35-40k for an engine and drivetrain and they give you a free tin shoebox to put on top lol.

TOO MUCH GAP

To tie it all together add a set of springs and some 5mm spacers.

Anything more than 7mm and you'll need longer studs. That's the commonly held theory anyway.
I've had vibration with 10mm.
And with any spacer you have to re-torque your lugs a few miles after any time you pull the wheels off, they are always loose.

Yeah I'm going to buy my h&r sport springs soon, lowest I can take my car without venturing into coil overs. Plus they're only like 2 something.

After that, getting roof wrapped in piano black and later on some wheels.

unrelated, if I want to get some dynaliner, how much does it take to really cover a car?

The last car (neon srt-4)I put dyna anything in needed 108 sq ft to cover everything but the roof and firewall in one layer.  I also covered both the inner and outer door skins on all four doors, too.

When you do it, I wouldn't just depend on dynaliner, though.  It's really good on plastic-metal contact, but not the best at road noise or reverb.  That's where an underlayer of dynamat + strategic placement of liner comes to shine.

I had to clean my front wheels this evening when I got in from work. Can't stand the brake dust build up.

Quick spray of Auto Finesse Citrus Power, a little scrub with the detailing brush, then a wipe clean. All good again.

Got the Mk2 Golf Owner's Club meet this weekend, gonna post a lot of pictures come Monday :)

I learned a decent amount from reading, listening, and discussing with others but it wasn't until I went hands on that everything really started to click.  Diving in and physically working on a car in addition to track time gets you a wealth of experience that's hard to forget - even if your memory sucks. :))

You would.  That 2016 Camaro, though...might be worth waiting to see how that drives and feels.

On a sort of related note, I still wish they'd just give the BRZ/FR-S more power, already. :(
