You have good taste, Psy.  I had the same setup for a bit.  Those are the Road and Tracks, right?  And Jesus, dude.  Your initial toe was terrifying. :))  Loving the NT03's, too.  I had some back RPF1's that I absolutely adored.  Do you track the car?  Those Ohlins really shine when you're pushing it to the limit.

Edit: Just tried looking for some photos of my full setup but can't find 'em.  I really need to start taking more photos of everything.  I did find two random photos during my part out, though.  Front shot and then a pic of my big-ass diffuser.  I miss that thing. :(

Successfully acquired a Hyundai Veloster (not the Turbo, unfortunately). Great little car. Better than my Suzuki for sure. I have the DCT transmission, and I finally got to use it properly today. I now understand why some people make a stink about having a true stick shift. More enjoyable than just flipping a paddle, even if gear changes are precise. Hopefully Hyundai is still making the Veloster in about 8-9 years, I very much so want the Turbo R-spec with a moonroof  ;D

AKIMbO,  sweet ride. I wanted to look at FRS's too, but my finances weren't there. Enjoy!

I second demik. It's stick and the rear tires could be used on a bike, it was meant to drive sideways.

Exactly my friend. Trust me I know.. I used to be the BIGGEST VW and Audi guy ever. I have a VW tattoo for crying out loud. I've had 2 gtis, an a4, and a 100s. I also had a Mini Cooper s. I absolutely still LOVE to look at and drool over all euro. Love looking at them and driving them. But I will never own a euro again. All of them constantly needed repairs and it was expensive as ****. I've never been happier with a car then my Honda reliability wise. Of course the euros were funner, but I plan to get an SI one day and that will help that aspect haha. But for now my EX is great. Still love to drool over gtis and s4s but no way I'd own one again. I don't regret owning them because I loved them all, I just wouldn't do it again.

Totally understand. My wife's VW is fun to drive, rides so nice, and has a ton of creature-comforts, if it were leased or under warranty I might actually really enjoy that car. However, with 100K on the clock that thing is quickly approaching boat-anchor status with all the repair costs. Sometimes it crosses my mind that maybe a GTI or R32 would be a fun car to own but everytime I see a mechanic bill for the wifes car it quickly cures me.

I've got a buddy with a 2004 Civic (base) and hes got like 250K on the clock and I'm pretty sure the only thing he's had to do was normal maintenance and an AC compressor. The thing has held it's value phenomenally well too! If my wife wanted to replace her VW with a Honda I would be ecstatic :))
Yeah man I have an 03 and my wife an 02. All she has had to do in 9 years is basic maintenence and same for me in half a year so far. She made me want one since hers has been AMAZING to her. Honda for life now!

Yes, ma'am.  Evolution X GSR.  My second Evo and I miss both like crazy.  My ex girlfriend actually had a talon that was pretty insane.  How she drove that thing in six inch stilettos is still beyond me. :))

That's basically how it was, unless it was a ridiculous tint like 5% most cops didn't care unless they were tacking it on top of a speeding ticket or something like that. That said i've heard my fair share of cops making people peel the tint in front of them before they'd let people go but that's also without knowing the details cause it could have been a ridiculously dark tint.

So, with some help of the SO and a good friend who is back from Romania, the roof rack is almost finished.

Planks being lined up, ready to mark up the initial holes.

First row of coach bolts in. I really love these bolts, but they are a little long. Don't know if I want to have to hack off about half an inch off 30 of them to make them look better.

All holes drilled, all bolts in, just about. It was really hard to try and get the holes drilled in the right place, and they planks all have to go back in the same order or they aren't going to fit... We also destroyed two drill bits. But I guess we did drill 60 holes in the metal in total.

And coat number one done. Decided to go with a dark stain, to go with the black rack, and the black car :) Second coat is currently drying, just a little sanding to do before the last coat. Should be done for tomorrow. At least I've got something going for me this week hah.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Sounds like someone's got a pretty sick wife.

I beg to differ, i want a husband that spends 2 days waxing my car! ****, i don't even have enough patience to do my own car!
2 days waxing? Wat
I spend an hour and a half doing 2 layers of carnauba on my car, before that I clay bar, and polish it.

I don't know what that means but 30-60 min washing my car is already too much for me. I wish i had enough patience to do it myself because i never have the money to pay someone to do it.

I spend 4 hours minimum doing the outside.
Clay- removes imbedded crap in your clear coat
Polish removes light swirls
And wax is wax
I get annoyed and begin to hurry by the time I'm polishing. I need more microfiber towels though, I run out of meguiars towels by the time I'm half way through the car when polishing. Then to chemical guys towels, then auto craft.

I don't like the front.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I get annoyed and begin to hurry by the time I'm polishing.

This happens to me every time, I start out super motivated and optimistic but by the time i finish I realize I was starting to get careless and missed something.

When it's just applying wax or spot cleaning something I'm fine but when I clay it adds so much more time I start to get annoyed. I'm debating picking up something like a nano-skin towel because they make it look easier and quicker than regular clay. Probably early next spring when I do my post winter detail of all the cars I'll try one out.

Bagged cars may look nice but then I get sad because I remember that you can't actually use it as a car anymore. :))

i dont understand what you're saying.. but uh, air bag suspension can be changed on the fly. that's the "resting" height.. or driving height depending on the owner.

so up from something like this. obviously you literally can't drive the car at the resting height

This is probably one of those instances where I'm just being stubborn or it's a mindset thing, I suppose.  I've seen that video and I've had this debate countless times with my friends.  Until I actually spend some extended time at a track in one of these setups, I'll stick to what I know I can get results with.  Old dogs, new tricks...that sorta thing. :))

alright, so yea my statement still stands? a good bit up from the resting height looks nice IMO. TIL they actually can drive like that tho.

i still don't understand your statement. are you asking if the car can go higher? yes, how high depends on the set up/height limitations. a lower car != stance. the springs im getting will lower my car about 1", still not close to stance and from what i've seen, the car will ride a lot better.

never seen slammed cars with ridiculous camber?

and yes, i've seen a couple of cars on the highway driving that low and with that much camber. is it safe? doubt it.

no, I'm just saying that I think it looks better when the driver sets it much higher than the resting height, not just a tiny bit above; I'm not trying to argue whether it physically can or not.

and 1" is a good height to drop definitely, looks way better than the stock height
