moving and getting a new car - and have no idea whats good. Anyone got any ideas for a 20-30k car that gets great mileage and the ladies?
It's not really great mileage but the BRZs get like 30 combined and start at $26k.

You missed the important part.

I'll be damned if that isn't a **** magnet

haha  :p It's a pretty cool looking car for sure.  any key differences between the audi a4 and bmw 320i base model?

Audi!!

Seconded

I do love the LEDS

The indicator LEDs on the new ones do that thing... I don't know how to describe it. Slides out from the centre to the side you are indicating? I don't know. It looks awesome.

Edit: This is what they do:

You're my new best friend.  Hi.

And on a semi-related note, S3 is getting Bilsteins put in this week.  I'll try to grab some shots when I drop it off if I remember.

Earlier this week I had to go and pick up a new pool car for work, well its the safety car for the Aussie style V8 championship next year here in the UK. I should have taken a photo for you guys, I will do it next week now, but it is a Vauxhall VXR8. Looks pretty much like this one:

It has possibly the loudest exhaust ever too which sounds phenomenal! Maybe I should do a video rather than a photo.

Looks clean.  A little tlc and the stuff you have planned and it's gonna be awesome.  I almost bought an E30 M3 a while back, but couldn't quite pull the $$ together.  Looking back, I should have scrounged way harder.  Car was dark grey with E36 M3 comp wheels and every Dinan part made for it except the big bore kit.  Had a full tri-flow stainless exhaust as well.  It was my best friends car that he let me borrow for a while when my Audi broke down and needed parts that were not available in the US.  I was going to SDSU at the time and every time I drove through the parking structure, it set off every alarm in the place.

Have you considered doing a Bumper Tuck?

That sounds like an awesome M3. It's a shame how expensive they are these days. I almost want to do M3 wide fenders on my iX since the M3's are unobtainium, but I don't want to be a poser. :P It would be a unique machine, though. An AWD 6-cylinder E30 M3 lookalike... As for the bumper tuck, I think I'm just gonna swap the later plastic bumpers on at some point. I don't mind the old style aluminum ones too much right now.

Haha, this is something I've never seen before. It just wasn't on my radar since we don't have those style bumpers on BMW's over here. It's the same laws in US that gave us the Porsche 911 compressible bumpers on the second generation cars that were actually used over here, too (1974 to 1989 models). An interesting bit of Porsche history that helped create the definitive 80's Porsche 911 shape.

Washed the car today and took some potato shots. RS grill, coils, sways, control arms, spacers, intake, and black emblems installed. Lip spoiler just cleared customs. Still waiting on a few more tuners to unlock the 2016 ECU and still fighting with UPS about my lost exhaust.  :'(

Those kind of grills look so damn pretty without the front numberplate you need in the EU.

Picked up a 2012 Golf Plus the other day. Not exactly going to turn any heads but having a 1.6L diesel is bliss after driving 1 litre petrol Polos for the last 15 years. You can overtake other cars and everything.

Golf is a really solid platform.  That new MQB platform is quite nice.  Grats on the pickup!  And agreed about the license plate.  I mean, technically, we're required to have it here.  But...screw it.  Lol.

Nice Sent, you wasted no time  :thumb:

Suspension still needs some tweaking, unfortunately.  I'm getting error codes thrown from the KW magnetic ride delete kit. :(  Balance of the car is also a bit off.  I might actually remove my front sway and run a beefier rear to try and get some more rotation in.  Valving on these Bilsteins isn't as good as I remember, either.  Rear of the car still feels a bit 'floaty'.  I'm kind of disappointed, tbh.

Guys, I'm freaking out. I miss my AE86 and want another one sososososososso bad. I need one, and an S2k swap in it. ASAP  :blank:

Doesn't everyone need an AE86? My dream would be an AWD swapped FD for school.

Make sure to carry oil with you. :))

At some point I'll add a strange engineering rotary to help that issue. :))
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

I'm glad you finally took some nice photos.

Makes me wanna step it up and detail/take some photos too ;)

Nice ride, especially loving the carbon airbox.

Ohhhhh snap. I thought it was a diffuser thing. That looks pretty awesome.

I wish I had enough money to sink into my car.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

There is a matching diffuser which I'm looking at.  I'm just hesitant to pull the trigger until I get my exhaust in and I can make sure the tips fit.  I'd rather not have to do any cutting if I can help it.

I am most displeased that my Magic Genie Ready lamp is illuminating at hot idle, with somewhere between 5-10psi of Hot Genie Fluid pressure.

Guess I'll drive her till she throws a rod and then rebuild a nice new-to-me junkyard high output 302.

Any thoughts on the Kia Forte 5 SX Turbo?  I currently own a Volvo C30 but have decided to hang up my stick shift for an automatic.

Before someone asks: I am not interested in the GTI DSG as they seem like a maintenance nightmare ($400 for transmission fluid change? Please...)
