All of the CTS's are pretty nice cars. Except you need to be like 80 to drive a Cadillac =P

Although, if we're doing CTS, it might as well be the V

Since you guys are like minded and love wagons - what do you think of the Acura TSX Sport Wagon?

The only negative thing I can say never having sat inside one is the lack of manual transmission.

Next week will be car week. I am going to prep everything Thursday/Friday this week so I am ready to do my suspension swap and fit my roof rack fairing in the first half of next week when I am off.

Also having to plan a new route to work because LOLSPEEDBUMPS.

I was seriously looking at the Fiesta when I bought my Fit.  The Fiesta even with the base engine is faster than the Fit, but the Fit "feels" quicker.  The ST wasn't available when I was shopping and I still haven't driven one.  There was a serious shortage on the Fit after the Tsunami in Japan and as a result, there was a total of 4 to choose from in all of SoCal.  I really wanted a white one, but silver was a close second.  The thing that I couldn't live with on the Fiesta was the lack of rear leg room and the fact that the rear seats don't fold flat.  I use my car to carry a ton of crap as well as tow my dirtbike (which requires the back area to be able to fit all of my gear, gas, tools, awning, etc...).

How it currently sits:  Tanabe Sustec Pro sitting on 16's

And a pic from when I had 17s
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

Cheaper cars will feel faster because they are more cheaply made. 100mph in my friend's M5 is not nearly as terrifying as 100mph in my friend's Sonic. Glad the Fit is working out for you.  :thumb:

Thanks. I was dreading doing it by myself, but luckily the friend of mine who helped with my roofrack has just come back from Romania so I'm hoping he will be able to help me with the coilovers too :D

you're really comparing an m5 to a  sonic?

let alone the fact the m5 is 4,387 lbs and the sonic is 2,720.

no **** it's going to feel scarier.

Of course. But it's not because it's cheaper. It weighs 2/3 of the m5 and is much less aerodynamic, which means you get pushed around by the wind a lot more. Also, there's a completely different type of suspension. The m5 has a shorter, stiffer suspension which is preferable to track type driving.
Furthermore, "cheap" cars like the sonic don't feel scary at high speeds just because you're scared at that shipped. I've driven plenty of cars at well over that and it just feels different.

The Fit may be inexpensive, but it doesn't feel cheap.  It feels quick because you are revving the guts out of it and are just breaking the speed limit in third gear.  As demik said, it is much lighter and just has more of a go-kart feel to it.  I have driven many fast cars (as well as all generations of M5s except for the newest) and I much prefer a small, quick car over one that has way more power than I could ever use on the road.  I have smoked many faster cars both up and down Palomar Mountain in my little 100 hp (at the crank) Honda.

This ****ing wheel guy is pissing me off no end. I think I sent him a message about two months ago asking for a quote on how much my wheels would cost and I've still not got a definitive price.

I'm tempted to just ask him if I can give him the wheels and I just pay him when I go and pick them up. Provided it's not more than like £800...

Nah. He stayed around and admitted fault. It's nothing really but car is tainted now :(

Yo bad, what do you think of the scion IM?

My Sentra is almost paid off but it has high miles so I'm looking at the iM. Looks like it would look DOPE dropped. But the car is underpowered as ****. And tbh for a scion kinda expensive.

I am on the fence.  I do like the looks of them, but agree on the pricing.  I understand why it is higher than most Scions though (Toyota wasn't able to grab a cheap Japan only model and put a new badge on it).  It is a direct replacement for the Toyota Matrix.  As long as they didn't stray too far on the underpinnings, it should be super easy to put coils or bags on if you wanted to.  Also, 5x100 wheels with good spec is everywhere now thanks to Subaru WRX and the FRS/BRZ.

What about a Mazda 2?  The update this year is pretty good and they now look like a Mazda 3/6.
