Hopefully I'm not abandoned by the devs like I was with Archeage...

Similarity being the real action combat, I suppose.

You can register for a chance at testing the game during closed beta here: https://www.blackdesertonline.com/events/cbt1/ApplyForm.html

I will probably pre-order the Conqueror's Package if I don't get in with the beta application to test it out.

I'm very unsure if I want to buy this game, just bought Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn and I'm not sure what I think about it. Used to play alot of WOW back in the day.
So... I can put anything here?

I've been playing the beta, and I'm pretty disappointed in this game, myself. While the combat is actually pretty refreshing -- and yes, VERY Tera -- it's just so damn hard to get over how horrendous their UI is. Too much going on, and while I don't advocate for dumbing down a game for streamlining's sake, this game REALLY needs some pruning.

I'm aware that this game will have an extremely fleshed out character creator, but does anyone know if this game comes with additional microtransactions that may or may not make the game favoured to the person that decides to buy from it.

Why I'm asking this is because Blade 'n Soul became very hard after you hit 30 and the quest/initial items you got are nothing to the potions you could buy, making the game a very, very subtly P2W in its own manner.

I've read that this is precisely the issue with the game

This game isn't pay to win at all, nothing you buy in the pearl shop can give you any advantages.

Actually in this game, the trading is disabled, all goes through auction house, so there's no way to abuse the system.

Gold seller still exists in this game, but their rate are so stupidly high, I wonder why they even bother.

I like so much things about this one (and, frankly, I could spend years in char editor  :D ) just the setting doesn't "drive" me. I mean, all that lovely medieval architecture and imagery, and BAM! = here comes some french maid
