yeah I posted it over there a few days ago and have been talking with some people.
I think they can help with about 100-150 orders for MOQ
Was it posted at OTD? I didn't there because of the american-telephone-sign-up problems haha

Can't seem to find it on otd either :'(

Probably because JackAss posted it on kbd... I guess someone could cross post it to otd with no harm done.

there's my post guys...try not to cringe too bad at my ****ty korean translation and english.. :))

I've talked to 2 friends and they said we could get 100-150 from korea and china combined, so add that to Geekhack (unsure) and then add that to DT (unsure but smaller)

Indeed, he made that mockup for me and it's not entirely accurate to what's going to actually happen, so i don't want that to give people the wrong idea

regardless, should have a quote soon so all the messiness and speculation will be over

My keyboard will be world famous before we know it.

It's only a matter of time now..

please review kit 2 versus 1

What do you mean? Review "maximum caps" vs "what you'd like"? And could you share the actual quotes next to the actual kits that they're for?

Basically, are you willing to pay an additional $10 for the A profile caps added from kit 1 4 to kit 2?

I still vote kit 2.   :thumb:

Edited to fix error.

I wanna try some of that A profile goodness!

Aren't

1x WoC 1.00 Alt Gr A ISO Leg
1x WoC 1.50 Alt Gr A ISO Leg

the only additional A profile caps from from kit 1 that aren't already in kit 2?

Sorry if I'm missing something really obvious :))

Dubs made a mistake in his post, it's supposed to be kit 4 (no A profile) vs. kit 2 (reasonable amount of A profile).  :)  Sorry for the confusion!

Kit 2. Did you get the quotes based on the double orders orr a standard kit without duplicate shifts? And MOQ?

After some thought..as much as I'd love A, the price of including it will be too great for some. The Goal of this GB is to hit and test the new MOQ, and so A will be kept out.
thoughts on the final set please..

2x WoM 1.00 Ctrl B ANSI Leg
2x WoM 1.25 Ctrl B ANSI Leg
2x WoM 1.50 Ctrl B ANSI Leg
2x WoC 1.00 Alt B ANSI Leg
2x WoC 1.25 Alt B ANSI Leg
2x WoC 1.50 Alt B ANSI Leg
2x WoY 1.25 Shift B ISO Leg
2x WoY 1.75 Shift B ANSI Leg
2x WoY 2.25 Shift B ANSI Leg
2x WoY 2.75 Shift B ANSI Leg
2x WoY 2.75 Shift B ISO Leg

added more support for the ISO legend users. Price before fees and shipping will be $33-45. talk that number with a grain of salts brajs, it's not definite

Does that added 2.75 shift that's ISO just differ from ANSI by lacking the legend text?

Is there a GB thread?
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

What is the difference between ALT GR and ALT?

ALT GR is not the same as ALT. Its a complete different key with complete different function as ALT. You use this key for the third layer of a key. On ANSI boards you have to press CTRL+ALT to get the function of ALT GR.

Its a pitty everybody thinks its just another ALT with different labeling.

The problem I have with everyone complaining about it is that the missing Gr doesn't really affect anyone, you still know it's the right hand alt.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

If it doesnt affect anyone because most people know where the mods are, whats the problem to make it ALT GR? I mean.....you know its the right hand ALT.  :p

Especially with view to the programmable keyboards it might be even a good idea to have an "extra" layer key (which is different labelled than the normal ALT). From my point of view two keys with same function on one keyboard is a bit of waste.

Honestly I don't mind either way, a couple of my sets are alt-gr and a couple are without.

Or just blank?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
