Yes R4 row means the ESC and fuction keys row.

feng, is a red Cherry cap completely out of the question? I just think it looks really, really pretty in red, and would look better in red than in black/gray.

Well unfortunately, red ones are not gonna happen.   If I knew many people interested in red I would ask MKC to keep some from polishing back then. :/

I don't want to start something, but are you able at all to provide 'additional' colouring to the current bare aluminum keys at all?

I thought that if you could provide anodizing for an extra fee then I would pay more to get a red coloured 'anything' from you.  And you don't have to go overboard with any multiple colours.  Just RED.

Please let me know.  You have sold keys in the past that were anodized just wondering why not now?

These keys were anodized first, and then got polished. That's what I know.

MKC has tested these polished keys for a few months and it came out with no problems like oxidizing.

I can get you one red Terran key, but that's all I can get. I've said numerous times that MKC has sent all of the keys to be polished except a few samples.

I've told MKC that people are willing to pay extra fees for anodized keys, but he's not really interested because he's busy on something else lately.

please be aware that not every source of keycaps uses the same order -- in particular, SP is backwards in comparison. so it was a fair question -- even when people list the profile of certain keys it's good to clarify what profile 'scheme' is being used.

Feng is now running a whole Silver keyset group buy, hence now these 3D Silver's may have some use to a keyboard all done in Silver.  Particularly the Geekhack Backspace and the 3D Cherry.  I wonder if it was planned from the start......who knows.

I had always liked having a keyboard with non plastic keys.......... it actually may come true finally.

I still haven't received my CC&G yet, hence if they fail to turn up I may get all silver's due to them fitting nicely with a Bright Green keyboard case.  Mmmmmm......Silver and Green, not bad at all I think.  This man here will now drain all my money out like a Vampire..... I like that his name is Feng almost near enough to "Fang", a Transylvanian let loose here on Geekhack.

Unfortunately, I just raise the price of Cherry Logo R4 to $28 for each. But for those of you who have paid $15 for the Cherry Logo, you don't need to pay any extra, so don't worry. MKC just told me that the cost of making these Cherry Logo R4s is two times the other R4 keys. He didn't even know until the producing got started. Sorry about this guys.

My point exactly, you never age, any diseases you once had are gone.  In a sense you are forever frozen in perpetual youth.  Plus as the world starts to over populate with Billions upon Billions of people, you've got a never ending food supply to last you till the end of time.  Vampires simply rule, enough said.

No worries, at least it's just $28 instead of $128.00 then that, would be off putting.  What's the point of being in business making stuff if your losing money in time.  You got to make a profit these days, even in China.  People here in the West think that they should get a 100% authentically made Rolls Royce for a couple thousand dollars but they forget that in China the cost of manufacturing has gone up, power, rent, resources and peoples wages plus taxes and charges to local/federal governments.

It slowly gets more expensive as time goes by, due to these circumstances.  That's why now you have some BIG western companies are looking into India to set up camp due to lower costs for manufacturing.  Times, they are a changing.
