Thanks for the indepth and thorough answers! It's very much appreciated! I'm definitely considering buying one!

Would you consider selling the Bluetooth PCB on its own?

Is the internal brass weight still off center like in one of the IC thread photos?

No, it fills the whole slot reserved for the battery.

But is the slot reserved for the battery off-center?

the green area is the battery slot, the red area slot and cutout are canceled.  of course you can say it's off center, it's under the top bezel, not on the center of gravity. :thumb:

It looks like that has to be a fairly slim battery, especially if going with tray mount. Is that photo the end product, or are there plans to make a recess in the battery compartment or raise the standoffs for tray mount in height a bit?

The photo is not the end product, the slot has enough room for battery that width under 41mm and thickness under 7mm, at this size, it got lots of choices on amazon with a capacity from 1000mah to 2000mah, they can keep G60 working for around 1 month. the slot can't goes any wider, the wider it goes, the thinner the case bottom is, and it's now reaching a limitation, and as I said on post above, no plan and not recommended to install battery under the PCB, the switches pins are very dangerous to a Li-Po battery.

Maybe in the future? Not sure how much demand is there for just a blue tooth pcb :)

No idea what i'm gonna do for the board yet, lol. I got the WKL NCR grey w/ dark bottom.

Keyset choices: OG dolch, kekkon dolch, 9009 r1, muted, wob, honeywell

I think 9009 would look pretty cool with the warm tone of the NCR ano.

Would you be able to post a couple of photos showing SA keycaps mounted in the case using the top-mount option?

It would be really helpful to know if the bottom of the keycaps are visible, as i want my next case to have the caps sit quite low in the case

Given CNY is on the horizon, we might just extend it to after CNY, since factory will shut down very soon and will open after CNY anyway. I will talk to Scott and see. WIll keep updating.

Folks, I've been exchanging comments with oldcat and scottwei, and it seems like if we beg hard enough and make enough noise, Scott MIGHT include gaskets that could be used for the G60.

So, please +1 for gasket inclusion!

G60 opens up tons of possibilities given the space inside that can be used. I am sure if the rubber gaskets are not so expensive Scott will include them for free. Will see if he needs to open up a mold for it (to achieve best fit), if there are affordable ones already made by others and sold in in "made in china" prices it will certainly be ideal.

Please make more noises, as Scott likes innovative suggestions :)

My question is: do you really like metal cases? In the cold days of the winter, there's nothing that irritates me as much as a cold keyboard.
This would be an insta buy for me, if it was made of solid and cheap plastic. Plastic even sounds better.

I love plastic ones too, metal is not what we need but it's the most effective way to put our ideas into realistic, in now days and in product scale this small (usually less than 100 units). 3D printing is great, but you will limited by colors or textures if you need accuracy(SLA), or you have to endure poor accuracy if you need multiple colors(ABS).

How close is the render of the pink case to it in real life? Like is it more like hot pink or salmon, and does it look more like a plastic pink or aluminum pink. How well do you guys think the pink case would go with GMK Olivia or SA Grand Budapest?

that does not look right, gaskets are supposed to go between the plate and the pcb but this looks like it is just on top of both which wouldnt change anything? not to be rude, im just confused

Yeah what

Now, touch a plastic surface, and then a metal surface, like the case of your computer. Both have the same temperature, but the metal one will appear much more cold because it sucks the heat of your fingers at a much faster rate thus appearing to be much colder. And in facts it behaves like it is much colder, because your hands at the end will be noticeably colder.

In reference to the gasket, normally gaskets are custom cut to shape and flat. Not to be overly critical but just adding a round piece of rubber in the kit doesn't add much value. Rubber gaskets can be laser cut but tend to be expensive.

Agree with you. G60 was not initially designed to be a Gasket mount board, but top/tray dual mount. It's just people are requesting that in discord and Scott experimented and found pretty good results :)

Consider it a freebie bonus :)

That said, the rubber rings installed on the screws (both sides) definitely make a significant difference in sound, less metal resonance

So what effect does the gasket actually have? Does it deaden the sound or something?

Part of the kit you will have the correct sizes rubber rings and they will increase flex and dampen the metal sound.

The gasket mounted on the pcb I’m not sure I will report something concrete  when I get a prototype

G60 working with an iPhone, lag is minimal :)

The dual mode PCB is designed by Scott (with QMK). And it will ship with VIA support (convenient keymap change and on-the-fly keymap update written to EEPROM).
