Title: Rare IBM Space Saver
Post by: skcheng on Mon, 26 April 2010, 11:35:52
Rare Space Saver (http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-IBM-Space-Saver-Model-M-Clicky-Keyboard-SpaceSaver-/110524649915?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item19bbc851bb)

Actually not so rare, but looks like a pretty nice example of a later Blue label Space Saving Mini.

Surely Sarah Palin won't let this happen!

Nah, she's too busy throwing snowballs at the Russians in her backyard.

Their gear is a little too rich for my blood.  I prefer vintage clothes.  Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, makes a pair of jeans like Jordache.  And before you say anything about how they're out of style, they cover my ass just as good as a pair of Dolce and Gabbana's and I can get them free from dumpsters.

I smell a derail. Please stay on topic. We were discussing Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin's ass would look HAWT in a pair of Jordache jeans.

So how is it that a Space Saving board is unsold at $99 BIN? I thought these were going for $200.

Post by: bigpook on Mon, 26 April 2010, 18:21:44
Its not NIB. Still, $99 is a good price for something in good shape.

Post by: ricercar on Mon, 26 April 2010, 19:01:47
BIN raised to $125

I went back and watched the video. It looks good, and is still a good price even at 125.
Granted, you may have a different opinion as to what a good price is but I still think it is a good value.

The blue label has the drainage holes up front, right?
If it was me, I would score it for 125. It won't be such a good deal if it bids higher.

Ooh, really? Blue = Drainage?

Got my 7/23 x 75 MM driver from clickeykeyboards today. Time to open up my babies.

Like I've always said before, I'll just stick with my common sense. I like paying $100 less for a keyboard with an extra feature.

Not sure, but I think the later models came with the drainage holes...blue label?

ripster, you have any pictures of the industrial showing the drainage holes and drainage channels.
I have a blue label 1391401 that has the drainage holes, I need to open it and see if it has the channels.

You don't have to open it.  Flip it and just look for a black rectangle inside the hole.

What's so good about drainage holes? I've never split anything in any of my keyboards in my life. ;)

There's a black tray that's 99.999% effective about draining spilled liquids out those holes.

The key wells seem pretty well sealed and covered by the keycaps.

I want to know why people buy things on ebay only to sell them on ebay. I hope he keeps it, it's a waste reselling.

They relisted it but it looks like another one. My guess is he/she bought more than one and now can't decide which one to sell.

The first keyboard was a blue label later model Mini.  I think???  Check out the first link I posted.  That one had a video.
