They still have a working WYSE 30 terminal and keyboard (Somehow made portable with a deep-cycle marine lead acid battery) at the public auction. The keycaps are very worn.

I've only once seen a cherry keyboard, and that was on a POS machine at an autozone, I believe.

Okay good news and bad news.  The keys have shipped!  They shipped early, in fact, some time last week.

The bad news is I had them sent to work, and I have been out sick for the past couple of days.  So they could be sitting at my desk right now with no one to love and photograph and sort them.  I might make it back to work tomorrow, or I might not. :-/

There's more good news though.  Melissa is going to take some pictures and send them to me, so we should know how they look by the end of today.

Fear not though.  If what she said is true about the keys shipping out last week, they should be here by tomorrow.  Even if I don't go in I'll make a trip down to work to get them regardless so I can sort and bag over the weekend.  Pics tomorrow!

Let's get the bad stuff out of the way.  Notice that they messed up the ISO shift.  I was very clear in my email that the 1.25x shift was to have the arrow but no text.  More fodder for ripster's hate thread, I'm afraid.  I'm sure this won't be a problem to get fixed, but it'll cause delays for the ISO orderers.

I'm just gonna say it.  I chose the wrong yellow.  I love the brightness in terms of how it plays with the other colors, but the white diamond doesn't read well.  There's just not enough contrast.  That, and the diamond looks a bit off-center to me ...  anyone else?  Here's the original from R3:

That said, the blue is delicious.  So glad I held out for the right blue.

Okay, now the good stuff.  The legends turned out fantastic.  Still a tiny bit too small and too narrow, I think, but they read Cherry next to vintage keys.  I'm very, very pleased with how they turned out.  Thanks again cycloverid!

The 1.25x Ctrl/Alt are Cherry pad printed, and the 1x and 1.5x are Cherry doubleshot.

The diamond looks perhaps just a smidge off center to the right a little bit, but I don't know if that's an illusion being played on my eyes. If SP will correct their mistake, then I vote to have them make it right.

Regardless of imperfections, those look awesome. I'm really diggin' the blue. Well done to you and cycloverid! :)

EDIT:  Maybe the letter spacing has a little to do with my perception of the width as well.  Unfortunately, this is exactly as much width between letters are SP said they'd allow.

The font is definitely close enough to not look out of place next to cherry keys.
